He repeated his attempts at some basic clothes using the sheets of his bed and then sat down, staring at his stat block. [Death Watcher, Level 2] and [The Sigil of Resurrection] these things put together confirmed it for him. He had died and been brought back to life by [The Sigil of Resurrection] in the process losing all the changes to his stats that had happened before he died, except from the increase in the [Death Watcher] skill, which carried over. But that meant when died, burning up underneath the Sun that that had genuinely happened, and judging by his surroundings it had been something that could happen to him within the next day. His assumption was that [The Sigil of Resurrection] acted like a save point in video games, and whenever he died he would be sent back to a specific point, in this case it was waking up in this bed.
He had died twice, and both times been sent to waking up in this bed, but when he had been transmigrated it had been into a pre-existing situation which he had no way of knowing what actually caused it, meaning there was every possibility that even if he could deal with the woman who had killed him that he may just die under the Sun. Between the game-like stats and effects, and the save points it seemed he was in a world that fully behaved like a standard game. Was it possible to change the save point? It was something he'd have to test, but had no clues on how exactly to test it. But now that he had at least some time before that woman came to kill him again he had something he wanted to do. Read everything on the [Help Menu] that he could.

It was exactly the same as it had been last time, so he went to the top and selected [General].

The fourth button still rejected him, with no title and nothing but buzzing noises coming whenever he tried to access it, so he gave up and started with [Day Cycle].
[The day cycle in this world doesn't really exist, as the Sun never sets. The only way to judge the time is by how high in the sky the Sun is. It takes about 24 hours for the Sun to go from its lowest point to its highest point and then back down to its lowest point. A week is 8 days, a month is 5 weeks, and a year is 10 months. The date is 39/04/1043.]
... Never sets? The Sun never sets? That's ridiculous! If the Sun never set then the entire world would boil! Everything- Would burn... It was then he realised that the never setting Sun was exactly his cause of death the first time round, so he suspected that even if he survived the day the whole world would burn and he would die. -Although that didn't explain his being tied to a chair and being gagged, meaning it was likely incorrect. Interestingly, a year was longer than the standard 365 days he was used to, and instead was exactly 400 days. Alongside the brief time he experienced the outside last time that confirmed that the Sun was bigger and that this planet was further away from it when compared to Earth, explaining the longer year but similar climate.
But that didn't really make sense, the woman had called this place Earth, but it clearly wasn't. Why would she call it that? And the year number being so low implied some kind of large event happened, where they reset the year number and started anew from there on. This world was called Earth, but it clearly wasn't the Earth he knew, not even close. He continued onwards onto [The town].
[You are in one of four towns {REDACTED}. The town itself is called {REDACTED}. {REDACTED}.]
Seriously? That was all it was going to give him for this bit? Why was most of it redacted? This tab was utterly useless to him, but clearly had important information, as unimportant information was rarely redacted. He'd have to make sure to remember to check in on this tab later and find a way to unredact the rest of it, so he went back and dove into [Religion].

[The main religion in {REDACTED} is Lumexian. They believe that the God of the Sun, Lumex, is responsible for creating the world, and show faith to Lumex by dressing up as clowns or any other general form of circus roles, as all humanity are like clowns to the God, Lumex. Once a year, for the last week of the fourth month, the main church of Lumexians hold a festival, The Festival of the Sun, it is a time of games, faith, prayer, and general high activity.]
So the festival that the woman had mentioned was The Festival of the Sun? And why would they use circus imagery for the basis of a religion, sure he had an explanation, but it didn't actually make that much sense to him. Though he supposed that a religion you didn't believe in would never make sense to you, and decided to just move on to the next sub-menu, [Luminosity].
[Lux]
[Blazing]
[Fabrication]
[Luminosity Decay]
[Skills]
[Mana]
[Spells]
[Sigils]
This was the largest part of the [Help Menu] and would definitely take him a long time to actually look through. He didn't really want to read all of it, but new he had to if he wanted a chance of getting past the woman who had killed him last time, so he went and selected [Lux].
[Lux is the first of two types of Luminosity, but unlike its sibling resource it is not passively generated by the body, and instead must be sourced by Blazing other things, and can then be used to either Fabricate something or create a Sigil for their own personal use. Different materials will given different amounts of Lux at different, with the most effective material being living flesh and the least effective being air.]
It was all pretty self-explanatory and was probably mostly things he could guess, besides its use for making Sigils, and the last bit. Living flesh was the most efficient source of Lux. Before any grim thoughts could permeate his mind he went to change to a new part of the menu. He already knew how [Blazing] and [Fabrication] worked, so went over to select [Luminosity Decay].
[Fabrication and Blazing are not exact science, you will get Lux from Blazing something than it will cost to Fabricate the exact same thing, so do not Fabricate something that you do not have to as you lose out on Lux over all.]
He tried to select the next sub-menu, [Skills], only to be stopped by the sound of knocking coming from the door to the house. Who would that-? -It would be the woman, wouldn't it? She had come over to him to look for Kaelen last time so it made sense that she would do the exact same this time. He had to find a way out of the house without being seen by the woman this time, it was that or confront her and die for what would be the third time, and he was in no hurry to die again. So he opened the window in his room and stepped out of it, and immediately ran away from the building, again sprinting until he was forced to stop by his own panting. If the last attempt was anything to go by then his stamina would currently be at 13. He didn't open it up just yet, he wanted to get as far as physically possible before the woman broke into Kaelen's house and saw he was gone.
He stepped onto a gravel path and continued on his way down it, away from his house. He couldn't help but wonder if this was the same path that he had been killed on. The woman had been right, it was clearly this world's version of early, no one was about. Even when he reached what looked to be town centre, with stalls everywhere, this was likely where The Festival of the Sun was taking place, a church looking building sitting in the corner of the area with a sun shaped image on the front of it. After some time exploring the stalls and trying to see what each one was he heard the sounds of footsteps from behind him, he spun around, knowing exactly what he would see. That woman, again.
???: Kaelen? What are you wearing?
Abel: I couldn't find anything to wear-
What was it she had said last time?
Abel: -I was Blazing my possessions again and then ran out of Lux before I could Fabricate anything new.
???: Seriously Kaelen? I can't help you every time this happens.
Abel: Not going to give something to Blaze?
???: You're on your own this time. I've had enough of you and your constant Blazing of everything you own.
Interesting... Things had already changed. She had already changed. Seriously though, who was this woman?
