Hello everyone!

  This is another issue of The Author’s Words, not a chapter of the story.

  So, what would I like to talk about today? Naturally — about the plot of the book. We’ve just finished the Liranis mini-arc and are now approaching the next arc of the story. Overall, the Liranis Arc focused more on Catherine and her family than on Arta, but it still contained several key elements important to the overall plot. I hope you still enjoyed it nonetheless.

  Now we’re moving on to a new mini-arc (and by the way, a new chapter is coming on Monday!) covering the second year of studies. This part will feature more Ren and Nova, and perhaps a bit more slice-of-life moments — though I sincerely hope they won’t feel tedious. As always, I welcome any feedback that can help make the story better.

  What will happen next in Volume Two? I won’t spoil anything, but it’s important to know that Volume Two concludes the first global arc of the story, and the second global arc begins with Volume Three.

  And since we’re already talking about Volume Three, let me share a little bit about it. I’ve finished Tom’s first mini-arc, and I really hope you’ll enjoy it. I’ve also begun working on the second mini-arc, and I must say — it requires quite a bit of extra effort from me. But regardless, my main goal is to make the story enjoyable for all of you.

  A few words about my parallel authorial projects (in case someone finds this interesting):

  — I’m working on adapting Volume One into a light novel format. Some scenes will be reinterpreted, and I’ll be adding bonus materials and illustrations.

  — I’m also working on a manga adaptation of Volume One. It’s not a fast process, and there’s no clear timeline yet — but I’m not giving up :D
