More movement, there are many of us. The bigger of us are eating the smaller. I join in the feast. When full, I wander in a separate direction. Another went towards a much bigger one of us. They were eaten. Avoid others like me. Make nest. I wander to the outskirts of the nests. I start to spin my own. To catch food. I wait in the center of the nest. Feeling all its vibrations. When it twitches I move towards the spot. I pounce, my fangs dissolve my prey. I feast again. I store the rest for later.

I hammer the hard wall. It deforms. I do it again. It's tiring work. By the time it cracks, I rest my head on my other head. She won't mind.

I do mind, I disentangle my head from her. I slam my head at the crack. Light pours in. I keep pushing. Mothers above us pull the shell apart for me. I'm awake and so I take care of eating from mothers. The slurry goes down my throat, I greedily accept. Delight. I wander around nest. It's not till the sky darkens that I lay down to rest. My head on hers. She won't mind.

Something larger is in my nest. It's stuck. I pounce and it dies before it sees me. I wasn't hungry. I store it with others. Nest needs maintenance. I repair what I can. Replace sticky thread. Eat the spare thread. Need to restore stores. I go and pick older meal up. Nest maintenance is hungry work.

I do mind. I disentangle my neck and bite sister. She doesn't care and just moves slightly. I try again when a mother nuzzles me. Fine. Another mother feeds me. Delightful. I wander the nest. It's dark now but the sky is getting lighter. When it's at its brightest I rest my head on sister head. She won't mind.

Molting, I push out. Body soft, must hide while harden. Take snack with me.

Bigger today. Seem I still molting. Sister did shit job on this side. I remove the molt on top of her head. Hope she did same for me. I ask sister. She slowly falling asleep but murmurs she did. Good. Can't wait to add a sister. Will have more time to exchange thoughts. I go find prey. Body needs more to grow. Always great when I get to feed our body.

Anything new. Sister gives me a negative. When she finally sleep, I remove last bit of molting from her head. She need not know. I go look for more prey. Bigger body means more sisters. Eating is delightful.

I wander from mothers. Time to have own territory. Large enough. Sister agreed before she slept. I keep watch over new domain. There a sound behind us. I turn our body. A predator approaches. WAKE UP SISTER. She starting to wake. I keep my distance. The creature is slow in the water. The creature yells, I freeze.

Sister is stuck, I take over and go for a bite. Pain … I pull back, perhaps they will over commit and give sister a ch…PAIN. Chest bleeds, body heats to seal the wound. Feeling sluggish. Predator speeding up. Sister is gone. Predator is in a frenzy…
