Nothing.....
Absolutely nothing......
That was all Jin Yu could see.
It looked dark, yet somehow, he could see. Not with light, but with clarity.
Still, there was nothing.
He turned around.
More of the same.
Emptiness stretching endlessly in every direction.
Where is this?
The void?
He scanned the horizon, confused, when a gentle, soothing voice rippled through the silence from behind.
"Welcome."
Jin Yu turned sharply—
And froze.
"You..." he breathed, stunned. His voice trailed off, eyes locking onto the figure before him.
She stared directly into his soul, her voice soft as moonlight
"Red Sovereign."
That name struck like thunder
Slamming into his ears, his bones, his very being.
Everything within him shuddered.
As if something long buried stirred.
Awakened.
His pupils, once deep black, burned into a cold, unwavering red.
Then—Darkness.
---
In a Red, desolate land...
A world steeped in purgatory.
No wind. No sky.
Only silence and crimson haze.
A man stood Still.
Facing a distant throne.
He didn’t move.
His long, black hair flowed to his waist, untouched by wind or time.
Then, as if nudged by a forgotten will, he shifted.
Just slightly.
His gaze tilted
A sidelong glance sharp enough to split fate.

At first glance, he looked human.
But those eyes—
Cold. Red. Unyielding.
Eyes that could pierce realms. Strip Daos bare.
His lips parted.
And a voice emerged—
Ancient.
Desolate.
Final.
"Finally."
The throne, woven entirely from threads of red fate trembled at the sound.
Distant colossal pagodas shook alongside it, bowing low in submission.
Not to a man
But to a Sovereign.
Then, just as slowly, the man turned fully toward the throne.
And fell silent.
------
Back in Solenthia.
Within the grand hall, Seer stood silently at the arched gateway. The messenger lingered nearby, her attention fixed on the passage ahead.
In Seer’s hand, the Coin-shaped disc rotated slowly, its dull silver glint catching the light.
His whole demeanor was different, his eyes were cold, extremely cold.
As if the playful, easygoing person was replaced with someone else, like winter behind a veil of stillness.
Without glancing at her, he spoke, voice calm but laced with disdain.
"I'm bored."
The messenger turned toward him, forcing a polite smile despite the flicker of unease in her eyes.
"Please exercise patience, honored guest. Your companion will be out shortly."
Seer tilted his head slightly, his expression unreadable, the coldness running deeper.
"How about playing with me instead?"
A subtle chill spread in the air. The woman tensed. Her smile faltered at the edges.
"Forgive me, honored guest. I am merely a messenger. I’m not permitted to do more than deliver words."
Seer finally looked at her, blankly.
"Who said you had a choice?"
She instinctively stepped back and was about to reply, when she froze.
Her eyes lost focus, their light dimming. A heartbeat later, they turned milky white, hazy and faraway. She stood perfectly still.
At the same moment, Seer’s own eyes shimmered. The same milky white glow overtook them, but his lips curled into a grin.
"Interesting." he whispered.
They stood like that, both entranced by something unseen. Time passed, how much, it was hard to tell.
Then something shifted.
Seer froze, his grin faded. His body tensed subtly, as if straining against some invisible force.
Moments later, his milky eyes dulled, losing luster. Then—
They turned black. Not simply dark, but endless, bottomless voids like they could swallow stars.
And then…
A drop of pure white.
It bloomed within the black like ink dispersing in water, only in reverse. The void recoiled as the white spread, overtaking everything. This wasn’t the milky white of before. This was absolute. Primal.
Space around Seer rippled violently, as if reality itself bent to make way. The air cracked and folded in reverence.
Gone was the aloof Seer. Gone was the cold, calculative Seer.
What stood now… was something else entirely.
And when those white eyes turned toward the arched gateway, The air bowed.
And then, a voice echoed.
Distant. Ethereal. Neither male nor female. It didn’t speak, it declared:
"Finally."
The word hung in the space like fate sealed.
Then, just as slowly, the blinding white faded from Seer's gaze, leaving behind only the familiar, milky glow.
As if none of it had happened.
---
Darkness faded.
Jin Yu stirred.
His lashes fluttered open, pupils adjusting to the soft light above, but the world didn’t make sense at first. His senses returned in waves: the faint hum of qi in the air… the quiet pulse of something living close by… and—
Warmth.
Pressed against his lips.
His heart nearly froze.
A breath caught in his throat as his vision cleared, and what he saw made his mind lurch.
A face.
Her face.
Inches from his own.
Too close.
Far too close.
The woman’s shimmering, water-sheen skin was aglow beneath the ambient light, and her water-blue eyes, wide with shock, locked onto his, frozen mid-breath.
Her fragrance, something like moonlight distilled through spring petals, overwhelmed his senses.
But it wasn’t the closeness alone that startled him.
It was the fact that she wasn’t pulling away.
In fact… the kiss deepened.
Her lips, already brushing his, trembled, but did not retreat. A tremor passed through her, and in the space of that heartbeat, Jin Yu felt a sensation ripple across his chest, as if something ancient had stirred between them. Something not meant to be touched.
He blinked. Her breath danced against his mouth, warm, nervous.
Neither moved.
Then, slowly, Jin Yu pulled back an inch, just enough to breathe, just enough to speak if he chose to. But no words came.
The woman stared at him, confused, lips parted ever so slightly. Her breath shuddered. As if something she couldn’t explain had just happened to her.
Or perhaps... through him.
Jin Yu didn’t speak.
He only stared, eyes locked with hers.
The warmth on his lips lingered, but it wasn’t just the touch, it was something beneath it. A whisper that brushed against his heart. A strange ache bloomed quietly in his chest, unfamiliar yet… not unwelcome.
Like a thread had been pulled loose from something long buried.
He looked at her again—truly looked. Not with suspicion, nor guarded distance, but with an inexplicable quiet. A stirring.
A strange déjà vu slipped over him like fog.
Why… do you feel familiar?
The way her brows furrowed. The tilt of her lips. The color in her eyes that seemed to hold centuries.
It shouldn’t have meant anything.
And yet…
It did.
Something shifted inside him. Gentle. Deep. As though a door cracked open in a place he didn’t know existed. He felt the weight of a forgotten name press at the edge of memory, hollow and vast.
She was important.
He couldn’t explain it, but his soul recognized her…
Like it had once carried her name close, long before his mind ever knew it.
Still, his expression remained unreadable.
She, too, seemed dazed. Her hand hovered between them as if unsure whether to reach for him again or draw away. Her lips parted, a faint tremble escaping them, but no sound followed.
Jin Yu broke the silence first, his voice quieter than usual, low and distant.
“…What did you do to me?”
But even as he asked, a part of him already knew—
It wasn’t something done.
It was something awakened.
