Chapter 56 {Against the Wind Dragon}

  Chapter 56 {Against the Wind Dragon}

  “Magic Missile,” Yassin fired.

  “Lightning Cannon,” Asia unleashed.

  “General’s Sword—”

Three skills displayed overwhelming power, turning the expressions of the noble and the lord pale. What was wrong with these individuals?! How are they this strong?!

  “Move,” Yassin ordered.

  Raaaaaaaaar!!

The dragon roared, and the winds transformed into a massive tornado that surged toward them.

“I’ll handle this—Tree Shield,” the noble advanced.

A tree began growing from the ground, turning into a natural barrier against the tornado—but it was far too fragile.

“Go!” the noble ordered, holding on with all her strength, yet the tornado erased the tree and advanced toward them.

  “Weak!, Chris,” Yassin ordered coldly.

“Boulder Shield.” Chris stepped forward and stood alone before the attack. “Bloodline Enhancement!” Chris’s energy surged in an instant as he stood firm before the tornado.

The other elves moved and released their arrows.

Ten powerful arrows shot toward the dragon, each carrying different skills and rare elements. Everyone present without exception was wearing rare elements and wielding rare weapons.

  Raaaaaaaaar!!

A massive wind barrier enveloped the dragon from all sides.

Chris stood alone before the dragon’s previous attack and endured it with ease.

The tornado dispersed, and Chris swung his sword. “General’s Sword.”

  Clang!

The ten arrows were deflected—but the flash of Chris’s sword was something else entirely.

The barrier trembled from the sheer force.

“Magic Missile,” Yassin fired again, while lightning swirled around Asia as she leapt toward the dragon.

The dragon was at its weakest moment; all it could do was form tornadoes or shields—and their power was at rock bottom.

The trio—{Yassin, Chris, and Asia}—pressed the dragon, forcing it to form shield after shield.

They’re monsters!, The noble trembled. “Don’t retreat.”

The arrows—especially those of the elves—began to blaze with flames, turning into rockets that surged toward the dragon with crushing force.

  Raaaaaaaaar!!

Sensing danger, the dragon shaped the winds into dragons like itself, launching them at the three armies with ferocity.

“It’s using its real skills! Advance!” shouted the Lord of Elau, as attacks from his army began to appear.

A fierce battle erupted—but it was a losing battle! Why?! Because the dragon had not yet used its true abilities.

The first skill—forming small dragon copies—had already pushed everyone to their limits. What would happen when it became truly serious?

The dragons transformed into small cannons and began firing densely compressed wind spheres, like artillery shells.

  “Watch out!”

This tale has been unlawfully obtained from Royal Road. If you discover it on Amazon, kindly report it.

  Boooooooom!!

The scene shattered as forces were blasted in all directions, chaos spreading among them.

“Reform the ranks!” Yassin shouted. “Message of Sorrow.”

  All the dragon copies froze.

In the rear, the bandits watched the battle and trembled to their very core.

They wanted to flee! They were not brave or righteous by nature.

They wanted to run—but even if they escaped the dragon, how would they escape Ian, when their lives were in his hands? What they did not realize was that they were doomed regardless. A curse had already fallen upon them, and soon they would turn into nothing.

“Lightning Torrent. ”Asia shot forward like a cannon, lightning serpents coiling around her.

Everything she passed through—dragons and wind alike—was erased into nothingness.

In a single moment, she arrived before the Wind Dragon.

  Raaaaaaaaar!!

The dragon roared. At that instant, Asia sensed an unprecedented danger and tried to retreat—but it was already too late.

She did not see what attacked her, yet she was sent flying, spitting blood.

“Hidden attacks…” Yassin frowned. “We must retreat.”

  The others nodded.

The idea that there were attacks they could not deal with unsettled them—but would the dragon allow it?!

“Use the banners and restrain it,” Yassin said, unleashing Message of Sorrow with the strength of ten people.

The others followed suit. Forced by these brutal attacks, the dragon had no choice but to halt and defend itself.

“It’s strong,” the noble sighed. “And this is while it’s weak. If it were at its peak, what kind of power would it have?!”

“Do we wait until after the birth?” the Lord of Elau Village asked.

“Nothing will force it to stay after the birth,” Ian shook his head as he petted the White Tiger and the King Wolf as if they were pups. “It will leave—and then it will become a hidden danger surrounding the three of you.”

  The atmosphere tightened.

“When is the birth?” the noble asked.

“Tomorrow, at the same time,” Ian replied.

“Fine. We’ll attack then,” Yassin said. “It will be weaker than it is now.”

Unconsciously, all eyes turned toward Ian, as if he were the leader of this alliance.

“I’m thinking of something different,” Ian said.

“What is it?” the Lord of Elau Village asked.

“What about luring it and summoning the entire army?” Ian said.

“The entire army?! Do you want to kill us?” the Lord of Elau frowned. “First Level forces will be useless against it.”

“Yes. They’ll only march to their deaths,” the noble added with a frown.

“Do you have something up your sleeve?” Yassin asked.

“I have two things,” Ian said, pulling out a flower and a banner.

The moment he revealed them, everyone’s eyes were drawn to them.

  >>>>>>>

  Titan Village

  Medical Garden

  “Excellent work,” Veronica praised.

In a small section of the garden, the orc transplanted a special plant that had been growing in their village.

  - Blood Lust

  - Normal

  - Description: Burn it to attract monsters within a certain range.

  - Note: With excessive burning, the attraction radius and the strength of the summoned monsters increase—it can even draw Third Level beasts.

The orcs used this herb for hunting.

They did not go out themselves; instead, they lured the beasts into a massive trap, killed them to feed the wolves, and claimed the loot.

However, they burned it in moderation so as not to draw stronger beasts.

“Martin, have you prepared the pills the lord requested?” Veronica asked.

“Yes, Deputy. They’re in the storage,” he replied.

  “Excellent work.”

  …

“This—!! How did you obtain such a thing?” the noble exclaimed in shock.

“I’m a merchant. This is my job,” Ian smiled. “So, what do you think of my plan now?”

  They all fell silent.

The success rate was high—but the risks were equally high.

“And what about the other beasts that will come?” one of them asked.

“You’ll deal with them, of course!” Ian sneered, slipping back into the role of a merchant.

“You can help us and take a share of the loot and the beasts’ corpses,” the Lord of Elau Village said with obvious anger.

“And sacrifice my men?” Ian scoffed. “Of course—unless you compensate me with something of greater value.” He made it clear that he had no objection to sacrificing them as if they were mere goods, so long as the price was right.

Damned merchant. The two cursed inwardly, while Yassin looked at him and said, “My soldiers will deal with the beasts—all of them. But the loot and the corpses are ours.”

“And what do you say?” Ian smiled, seizing the opportunity.

  The two fell silent.

Burning such a large quantity of Blood Lust would bring a flood of beasts. Despite the risks, the gains would be enormous.

In truth, the gains outweighed the risks, because they would be prepared—unlike the beasts.

The noble silently looked at the Lord of Elau Village.

  Their eyes spoke of everything.

“I’ll fight with you,” the Lord of Elau clenched his teeth.

“And I will as well,” the noble replied.

No matter what, they were lords. They understood that the value of those beasts would allow their power to rise tremendously. Even if they did not want it and the risks were high, it could not be allowed to fall into the hands of their worst current enemy (the northern village / the mysterious Titan Village).

Though their numbers were fewer, their quality was far superior. If that side obtained all these elements, how far would its power rise? Certainly to the point where there would no longer be any balance or comparison—at which point they would have eliminated the dragon threat, only to gain an even greater one.

“Then you’ll be charged for the cost of the herb and the use of the banner,” Ian laughed, still clinging to his merchant role to the very end.

  The noble: “…”

  The Lord of Elau: “…”

  “Damned merchant,” Yassin said coldly.

  - Formation Banner

  - Special

  - Enhanced through inscription arts. Allows the release of a single attack with the power of 1,000 people before shattering.
