Alexa continued analyzing the data on the TV screen. The other events seemed quite normal and easier to participate in without many rules on them, but then again, almost all of these events seemed to be focused on [Kid Stage] Humans.

  Perhaps they wanted to train them in simple combat scenarios, now that Alexa focused in the data, then it would be quite easy for Alexa to survive in most of those events. Case in point…

  "Main Core! Resume!" Alexa commanded inwardly, she made sure that no one else heard her.

  “[Resume of possible events:

  -Endurance Race: This event in which the host will be required to outlast the other participants; this event is noted as a Core User exclusive event, and chances that the host will have to compete against other Core Users are high. It is advised that the host participates with great care.

  -Long distance Race: This event in which students will run a pre-determined amount of distance designed to test their speed and endurance; the distance seems to be set to the maximum amount of distance that can be safely run while exerting a balanced amount of endurance and strength.

  -Short Distance Race: This event is designed to test short burst speeds from the participants in a short distance.

  -Tug-O-War: This event in which two different groups pull at each other using a rope; events seem designed to test both strength and team effort coordination.

  -Treasure hunt: This event is designed as a search and destroy test; participants must find their target within a designated time frame.

  -Eat-A-Ton: This event in which participants must eat astounding amounts of food that should surpass the soft limits within the participants' stomachs.

  -Disguise race: This event in which the participants enter a secluded room, use the materials within the room to set up a disguise, and then come from the other side of a small hallway with multiple doors. The event is designed to test the ingenuity of the participants, their ability to run and move under duress, and their adaptability.

  -Sports side festival: Multiple events focused in different sports teams set up within the school system, host may not participate in these since she is not part of any of the sports teams set up within the school.

  -Combat side festival: Different combats set up within enclosure between school participants; these range from short melee combat, medium-range combat, and long-range combat using multiple types of weaponry. These are set up between teams within the school, only there are two options available for host to participate.

  –Exhibition match: Combats between non team members vs team members.

  –Exhibition Core Matchs: Combat between Core Users.

  -Obstacle Race: Long-distance race set up in a field with multiple obstacles to be surpassed, from pools of water to three-dimensional obstacles to be surpassed.

  -Relay Race: Short distance run between multiple members, the objective is to finish a short distance run between two members and relay a baton to the next member, this means that the members of the team must finish their part of the race as fast as possible to pass on the baton to the next one.

  -Ranged shooting: Event designed for ranged shooting to targets at different range, shorter distance between shooter and target is set up at 10 meters, with the longest target being at 100m, 500m and 1km away.

  Further distances are available thanks to the use of Core Powers and expanded space set up within premises.

  The host is advised to restrain herself to only physical events since she is using the basis of self-modification and merely augmentation as Core Power while on school premises.

  -Dodge Ball: This event is designed as urban combat in an open field; five participants enter the designated area, and one of the teams is given a rubber ball.

  Three members will fight on the inner field while the other two will remain on the other field. The team with the ball will try to hit the members of the opposite team using the ball, and the defending team will only be able to use their hands to contain the ball should the ball hit any part of the body that isn't the hands it will count the student as [Dead].

  The only way to save the [Dead] will be if any other teammate is able to catch the ball before it leaves the field.

  The members on the exterior field may only be situated on the opposite side of the field, and their mission is to catch the ball to prevent the saving of any members of the opposite team.

  The game ends when all three members on the inner field are [Dead], any member on the outside field may enter at any time, but they will not be able to leave again.]"

  …Right, Alexa had said that she couldn't change her body to Alan and Glory.

  Then that meant that she would not be able to turn into a creature to win, she had wanted to turn into one of those big monke things that based her muscle arms.

  Alexa would need to change her priorities.

  "It's okay, Alexa, I'm sure we will be able to get a couple of easy sports…Except Dodge Ball, that one is done deal…" Glory said while shrugging in defeat.

  "Yeah, that one…there is no helping it, they always pick it." Alan also sighed in defeat.

  "Why? That one seems to favor greatly the class with more resources?" Alexa asked confused, "Shouldn't this [Class of the Elite] have an advantage?"

  Everyone in the class turned to look at Alexa weirdly.

  "You would think so, right?" Except the teacher person, "But no, these kids rarely participate in physical sports that may result in them getting hurt, so that means that most contact sports are their weakness."

  What? That made no sense?

  "But…the food!" Alexa said, confused, "It was made to suit Alexa, so that meant that if they participated or did exercise, they would maximize the results with the least amount of effort!"

  And that was the main take that Alexa had. If they used to the limit their resources, then this class would be the ultimate winner! And they weren't using their advantages?

  "Why?" Alexa said, turning to Glory, "Why are you wasting the resources?"

  "...There isn't enough time for everything, okay!" Glory said in a slightly louder voice, "I need to study; there is the private teacher, manners class, tea preparation classes, language, management, history, politics…What little time left is scheduled for, I don't have time left to play around in the park like the peasants!"

  "Glory is right, our free time is scheduled here, our time to play and mess around is left for school time." Alan added from the side in a more measured tone, "Our time at home is mostly scheduled for classes or to shadow our parents while they work, we just don't have the free time to play around in the parks or with our peers, whatever time we spend with those of our age is pre-arranged and we are to practice or negotiate deals between our shell companies."

  The what company?

  “[Shell companies, enterprises made up using only a name. They don't exist in the physical sense and are mostly created without any significant asset or to be used. They are created to either hold assets temporarily or to make sure a name is not taken up before they can be used.]"

  So make pretend companies?

  “[....yes.]”

  Weird, the [Humans] were weird!

  Why would they do it like that? These [Kid Stage Humans] were weirder by the second!

  "So now you see, most of your peers are like that," The teacher person said extending his hands to the side, Alexa looked around and behind the students she could see cracks forming, within these cracks Alexa could see them moving around from weird rooms to the next. These seemed like her apartment…only bigger, more luxurious and with people dressed like the teacher person while acting as the theater guy.

  The students moved from place to place without stopping, playing, or even eating. That…

  "That's sad," Alexa said without thinking, "It makes Alexa feel sad; why do they not…have fun?"

  That was important, to Alexa that was very important, she liked having fun, she liked attempting to be happy. And seeing them like that was…sad.

  "...do not patronize us Alexa." Glory said in a small voice, "Not all of us were born into success like you; some of us must fight to make the best of what we have."

  "And some of us don't mind it that much, we are doing the best with what we got." Alan said, standing up and walking beside Glory, "Some of us are aware that we got much more than the average person, and so we make do. We are doing the best with what we got, since others can't even afford this level of education."

  So…they did all of that…because they felt obligated to do so? Because they got the responsibility? That was stupid.

  They were being stupid!

  "Besides, you have no right to judge us." One of the kids following Alan said suddenly.

  "Not after being born into the Saintsworths," Another one said afterward.

  What did that have to do? Alexa wasn't even born into them? She was given this name! No, wait, she was created by the Saintsworths in a Saintsworths laboratory…So perhaps she was indeed born into the Saintsworths?

  "That is enough," Glory said, raising her voice, "The teacher said it before. Alexa has the qualifications to be here among us. And that was before getting the confirmation that she was a true Saintsworths."

  "And even if she wasn't one, the mere fact that she can remain human enough after Core Triggering makes her worthy of being here." Alan added from the side, "I am sure most of our parents will attempt to get any of us to marry her…I am sure many of you know this too, that most of us aren't being offered to Alexanders merely because they fear his answer to the offer."

  It felt…wrong to attempt to nom him, but surely if he was marrynated well enough it would be okay.

  Yes, Alexa was a Saintsworths…even if it was mostly in name…and it allowed her access to some perks that she wasn't quite sure what they meant…And it seemed that she was able to access a database that could endanger those that listened in…

  But besides that, Alexa was normal!

  No, wait, there was something more important there!

  "Engaged?" Alexa said, turning to Alan, "You are engaged? Who are you fighting with?"

  Alexa had not seen any evidence of combat at all, or at least yet. Even the Teacher person seemed to mostly use his powers to make points and make sure the people here paid attention, mostly at least.

  "Our families came to an agreement so I'm engaged to Glory," Alan answered with a shrug, "It means that when we grow up we will marry."

  "Unless a better deal comes by, but since the only family that could be a better deal than the Harmonia are the Saintsworths…" Glory sighed, "And Alexanders tastes are unknown…Of the current heirs, I only know you, and you are also a girl…"

  Wait wait wait….Alan would marry Glory?

  Then…he would ….Marry Glory? And become a pair?

  Then…he…cheated on Alexa?!?!?

  What about her dreams?!?!?!? Her hopes?!?!?!?!

  "He does?" Alan was the first to answer, surprised, "I don't think I ever saw her…Can you tell us how she looked?"

  That…was not the one that Alexa expected to react.

  "She was wearing a weird one-piece robe made out of a white cloth, a purple smaller long strip-like…" Alexa was not sure how to describe the attire.

  “[Purple piece of fabric is categorized as sash, and the white cloth as Toga on the files.]”

  "Right, a white toga and purple sash!" Alexa quickly amended her descriptors, "She wore a gold tiara and has purple eyes too; she seemed to be too handsy with Alexanders, too!"

  "And he didn't say anything back?" Glory said narrowing her eyes, "I don't remember any bachelorette like that one, is she perhaps a hidden lover?"

  And then Glory started mumbling.

  "Alexandra, are you sure of this? There is no one like that on this plane." The teacher person said, "At least not on our current setting, there is no background like that on Terra Nova."

  The what now?

  Teacher person? The theater person is leaking out!

  "I also don't think I have met anyone like that…when did you see this girl?" Alan said from the side, "Was in a meeting between the Saintsworths? Usually those are quite secret, and there isn't anyone without the golden eagle in them."

  Was her meeting with the cheating(Alexanders) bad person secret…It kind of was…

  "When brother gave me my bracelet." Alexa decided to answer it like that, "There I saw the…"

  “[Name recorded in file, Artificial Entity Designation: Sapphire, accepted names: Big Sister, Alexander’s Wife, Alexander’s Girlfriend, Step-Mother, Step-Sister, Big Sister, Pretty Sister….]”

  The list went on and on…

  "....There I saw the….Pretty Sister…" That name! That made made Alexa cringe, and she was usually the one making people cringe(With her cuteness)!!!!!

  "So, in your coming-of-age ceremony, huh." Glory said nodding, "It makes sense, if Alexanders is courting someone then that someone must be 'special'."

  She was 'special', all right…

  "And if they made a coming of age ceremony where they invited the current Scion…then that means you are quite important, well that was obvious since your bracelet holds the golden eagle and is carved with quite the luxurious method…" Alan added at the side, "...All that remains is you telling us that Alexanders was the one giving you the bracelet to cement how more important you are."

  ….

  "We will have the 30-minute break around now," The teacher person said, coughing and making everyone pay attention to him.

  "Alexa?" Glory said from the side.

  "We will return to our scheduled episode after this commercial break; tune in for the next chapter airing March 6 of 2025 at the same time, on the same channel for…" The teacher person suddenly flared his mana as he spoke, "...[Chapter 37: The start of the Exam War…Am I doing this right?] in A Bioweapon's Rhapsody!"
