After about 2 hours, Loid eventually woke up from his unconsciousness and was relieved to see that everyone was safe. Now, the three of them were arriving very close to the exit of the maze but they still had one more obstacle in their way.
“I still can’t believe you beat the guy that attacked us as easily as you say you did. How strong are you, Mr Jack?” Loid said.
“Loid, if I fought everyone here without abilities…I know without a doubt that I’d win.” Jack said, arriving at the new area.
“Woah, what the heck is this?!” Riveria exclaimed.
This room was quite open due to it being a massive stadium that for some reason, had stands that were completely empty. There was no floor, the bottom of the stadium only had a pool of lava. There was a metal disk in the middle that had two metal blades attached to it that were as long as the stadium’s radius. There were floating platforms that made a pathway from where the trio was and made a half circle which went up to another long platform above the blades that had three giant steel blocks that went up and down. The longer platform went until it reached the wall where a blue button was placed. Meanwhile, there was a tight rope that went below the blades to a tunnel that went down to a platform that moved from the end of the tunnel to another platform that had a red button on it. On the other side of the stadium, there was a glowing white that was blocked behind a gate.
Then, Algar suddenly appeared in the stands, looking down at them.
“Welcome to the final part of the maze. I commend you for making this far considering how you all are insignificant little runts that were blessed to compete in this game. Anyway, you need to go and press the two buttons to open the gate and beat the maze. The lava will rise and will reach the top of this stadium in about 4 minutes so better move quickly. Your time starts now.” Algar explained calmly.
Well I can’t say that his behavior surprises me but it’s still crappy regardless. Anyway, If I want this plan to work I have to move quickly.
The blades began to starts spinning and the lava slowly began to rise.
“Riveria get on my back. Loid stay here.” Jack orders while getting in a piggy back position.

“Okay I guess?” Riveria responds with a confused look and climbs on Jack’s back
Jack started jumping from platform to platform, timing each of his leaps so that he could jump over the spinning blades while he was moving. While he was moving, he gave instructions to Riveria.
“I’m going to throw you up to that higher platform. When I do, blow your flames at the metal disk the flames are connected to. If you do that the thing should fall apart and Loid can make his way to you. Once Loid comes to you, wait till all the blocks are up and tell Loid to shoot at the button so you guys don’t have to press it manually.” Jack said, taking Riveria of his back and holding her up
“Wait what?!” Riveria exclaimed.
Jack chucked Riveria up into the air and onto the floating platform. Then, Jack jumped of the platform he was on and caught himself on the rope to avoid falling into the lava. Once he did, he began pulling himself across the rope as quickly as possible.
Meanwhile, Riveria followed Jack’s instructions and directed her flames at the disk. Eventually, the disk broke down and the blades had stopped moving just as Jack had predicted.
“Loid get over here now!” Riveria yelled, urging Loid to come as fast as possible.
Loid ran from platform to platform, moving his relatively little legs as fast as he could.
When he arrived on the platform, he waited for further instructions from Riveria.
“Alright Loid, when all those blocks are up in the air, you need to shoot that button over there.” She says while pointing to the direction of the button.
“Got it.” Loid replies.
Then the blocks that were on the platform began to rise. The first one, then the second, and eventually the third.
Now. Loid thought.
For the split second the blocks were in the air, Loid to a single shot at the button and it hit it directly. The button glowed, signaling that it was pressed.
Algar, who was looking down from the stands, had an expression of pure shock on his face.
“Good job Loid!” Riveria says and gives Loid a high five.
During this, Jack was still traversing across the rope. The lava was slowly rising closer and closer to his body. Luckily for him though, he’s approaching the tunnel quite quickly.
This Algar guy is extremely annoying. He told us it would take 4 minutes for lava to reach the top knowing full well that it would take about a minute and a half to get the red button. And if I don’t, we all die with no chance of survival.
Jack reached the tunnel and climbed inside of it. To his dismay, the tunnel was filled with a slippery substance that slowed down his movement towards the other side. It took a bit more time than necessary, but Jack eventually reached the end of the tunnel.
He crawled on the moving platform and it hovered towards the platform with the button. When he arrived on the platform with lava almost inches away, he slammed the button causing it to glow.
The gate covering the glowing exit lifted and stairs appeared from Riveria, Loid, and Jack’s locations and led up to the glowing exit. They began to walk up the stairs and when they did, Jack began to ponder on some of his thoughts.
I bet General Forsquave already cleared the maze. In fact, he probably gathered a few allies while he was at it. Anyway, I’m glad my plan worked. It was all kind of reliant on our abilities but I knew it wouldn’t make sense for us to be given abilities and not be able to use it to affect the obstacles in our way. Regardless of that, I’ve learned the most important thing from this game. The purpose of this tournament is…entertainment.
Then, the trio arrived at the exit and walked into the light.
