I moved quietly through a patch of grass in a small mountain near my city.
*pant pant*
I’ve been chasing after the trails of smoke from the hospital here. There are thousands of trees in this forest, and I’m hiding under the tall grass below. In front of me, about 5 meters away, there’s a small open area where no trees or grass grow, with a diameter of roughly 5 meters. That small open area is where the two trails of smoke crashed into, possibly a few minutes ago.
“(Si-chan!)”
Si-chan has landed safely without any wounds whatsoever. I was a bit confused about how she survived that explosion, but I quickly remembered that she is a Believer. Next to her, there is a human-shaped rock, in a sleeping position, lying on the ground.
“(That must be her father!)”
She is not here with just her father, though; the other trail of smoke turned out to be someone who wants to finish him off.
“How did you survive that explosion, Young Lady of Pendrago?”
It was a man in his 30s, and he was fair-skinned. He’s 170cm tall and weighs around 78kg. His body build is mildly muscular. He has a pair of gray and cold eyes. He has short, black, spiky hair that waves to the right, and he has slightly visible facial hair. He’s wearing a black and white fedora. His clothes are mostly black suits with a white tie with black long pants, a pair of black gloves, a pair of black-framed glasses, and a pair of black shoes. The man is considered handsome by the world’s standard, even I would say so, and that’s coming from me, someone who never really looks at someone of the opposite gender to be ‘desirable’. Not that I have a crush on him or anything, as I was simply explaining how he looks.
All of a sudden, without answering, Si-chan threw a boulder right at his face.
*GRAHK*
*!!*
The boulder hits his face, but it immediately breaks apart on impact. Si-chan and I look at his face.
*Glitter glitter*
His entire face turned into a shiny light blue texture that glitters and reflects the light of the moon.
“Hooo? A Believer, huh? A weird one at that! Why are you after my father? I don’t recognize your face at all!”
His face returned back to normal.
“I have no personal grudge against your father of any kind. I am merely doing this because it is my job!”
The man takes off his fedora and bows to Si-chan, introducing himself.
“My name is Alpha! I am merely a paid mercenary! One of the most famous names in the underworld. Pleased to meet you, Lady Pendrago!”
“(EH? So, an assassin?! Why does this look like something from anime, manga, and games?!)”
“Heh! I bet your name doesn’t even compare to the actual cold-blooded murderer, that Queen of Time!”
“Ahahahahahahahahaha!”
The man lets out a hearty laugh as he puts his fedora back on his head.
“Please! That name is legendary even for the former number one assassin in the underworld! I am but a humble mercenary who preferred to hide my presence so I won’t be recognized to make my job easier.”
“Ah! So, that’s why you used explosives earlier! Something that has nothing to do with your Faith power!”
“Correct, young lady! Now, would you please step aside from your father so that I may kill him in peace and as painlessly as possible?”

And yet again, another boulder, bigger this time, is suddenly thrown towards his head.
“HRGH!”
*GRAHK*
Alpha transforms his entire head and headbutts the incoming boulder and breaking it into pieces. Behind the destroyed boulder, Si-chan suddenly appears, with her hand already covered in boulders.
“Do you honestly expect me to just be a good girl and say yes?”
“Hm, now that I think about it, you really are a Believer! I thought it was weird that a slender girl like you could throw a boulder that big! There was no info about your Faith Power whatsoever from my clients.”
*BAAAMM*
*GRAHK*
Si-chan punches Alpha with a boulder-covered fist, but he blocks her by lifting his left arm and transforming it. This time, though, Si-chan’s boulder didn’t break.
“CLIENTS? So, multiple people hired you?”
Si-chan’s anger suddenly spikes.
“Oops! I have talked too much! I shouldn’t be saying anything about that at all! How unprofessional of me.”
“SPILL THE BEAN OR I’LL TORTURE YOU!!”
“How unsightly. A wealthy lady like you shouldn’t be talking like that!”
“RIGHT NOW, I’M JUST A MERE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT!! HHHRRRGGGHHHHHH!!!”
*DESH*
Si-chan pushes the man, and he slides off the ground one meter away from his spot. The boulder covering her right hand crumbles away as per her will.
“Hmm. That strength just now, I see you’re no ordinary Believer now! How long have you been a Believer?”
“Since I was a kid!”

Si-chan raises her right arm and creates another boulder floating in the sky right above the man’s head in the shape of a giant hammer. She clenches her fist and swings it down, and the giant hammer above follows her motion.
The man calmly looks above to assess the situation.
“Hm, seems like I have to disappoint you.”
*BAAAAMMMM*
*GRAAHHHKKK*
The giant hammer hits Alpha, and it breaks apart into pieces once again. Alpha transformed his entire head, and there were no dents or scratches anywhere from the impact. His head returns to normal afterwards.
“Diamond is the hardest mineral on this planet. Throwing rocks at me, however many times as you please, won’t do you any good! My Faith power is a hard counter for your rock-type Faith power! You’ll never win! Give it up, Young Lady Pendrago!”
“. . . .”
Si-chan stays silent after hearing the man’s explanation.
“(This is bad! Si-chan can’t possibly win! I have to do something! If I distract that guy, it will create an opening for her, but how do I distract him? I can’t just randomly show up! That guy is a famous assassin. He probably has a sharp sense of sensing someone’s presence, at least that’s what those types of characters are good based on anime, manga, and video games!)”
*?*
I look towards Si-chan as I try to come up with something, and I see her with a weird smirk.
“Kh. . . Kh kh. . . KHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!”
“. . . .”
Si-chan is suddenly laughing loudly like a crazy person.
“Hmm, I guess reality has hit you, and your mind can’t process it? Poor little girl! I feel bad that a lady from such a wealthy family has to go face-to-face with someone from the underworld! I’ll at least make this quick!”
The man transforms his entire right hand into diamond. He clenches his transformed hand into a fist, and he slowly approaches Si-chan.
“I only find joy in my job when I am fighting someone honorable! Killing a little girl like you is just sad to me. I bear no hard feelings nor special grudge against you, Young Lady Pendrago! Please excuse my action.”
“(Oh, no! I HAVE TO ACT NOW!!)”
I was ready to jump out of my hiding spot and scare the man, even if it’s just for a split second. I know that would create a big enough opening for Si-chan to finish him off.
*GRAHK*
*!!!*
But then a giant hand made of rocks rises from the ground, and it grabs the man and lifts him into the air.
“HRRRGGGHHHH!!!! W-WHAT IS THIS? RELEASE ME THIS INSTANT!”
“Heh?? What’s this? You’re panicking? You’re acting out of character, Mercenary-san! Or is this because your 40% body transformation limit cannot protect you from my giant rock hand??”
*BAAM*
“UAAAARRGGGHHHH!!!”
The giant rock hand slams the man hard towards the ground. He is now lying with his face kissing the ground, with the giant rock hand holding him in place. Si-han crouches towards his head, and the man looks upwards towards her face.
“I-I CAN’T MOVE!! I CAN’T MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVVVVEEEEEE!!! HRRRGGHHH!!! HEAVY!!! WHAT IS THIS? HOW DID YOU CREATE THIS GIANT HAND? THIS DOESN’T MAKE SENSE!!”
“What doesn’t make sense?”
“YOU!! YOUR FAITH POWER IS AT THIS LEVEL AND YOU’RE JUST A BRAT!! HOW DID YOU GET THIS STRONG?”
“Is it really that unbelievable? Well, whatever, I don’t really care. Wanna know a fun fact? When I pushed you earlier, that wasn’t because I was punching you very hard or anything, but because I forcefully moved you away by controlling the dirt that you stepped on! Ingenious, isn’t it?”
I had my jaws wide open in admiration. Si-chan was the one in control of the situation this whole time.
*!*
“S-SILENCEEEEEEE!!”
“Roger that!”
Si-chan creates dirt out of nowhere, and the dirt floats towards the man’s mouth. She covers the man’s mouth with dirt and completely seals it.
“. . . .”
The man seems to be moving his head violently, but he cannot let out any of his voice, nor can he break free from the sheer weight of the giant rock hand.
“Now. . .”
She removes all the dirt from his mouth.
“PUAH!! *pant pant pant*”
The man is immediately gasping for air as soon as his mouth is free. Si-chan slightly presses the man downwards with her giant rock hand, and he immediately screams in pain.
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!”
And then she weakens the pressure of the giant rock hand. Si-chan whispers something to the man that I couldn’t hear at all.
*!*
“N-NO!! I CAN’T POSSIBLY DO THAT!! I CAN’T BREAK THE CODE OF AN ASSASSIN!!”
“I see. . .”
*?*
I have no idea why the man is reacting that way. What could Si-chan possibly tell him to?
*ZRRRAAAASSSSHHHH*

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!”
Suddenly, the man screams in a high pitch, showing his instant agony and pain. I subconsciously cover one of my ears and my mouth from his scream.
“(W-What now?)”

Si-chan lifted the giant rock hand, and I saw that the man’s legs had been completely crushed and pulverized, and they became flattened. The man is crying from the sheer pain and agony.
“You clearly care about your code more than your own life and risk the security of your future assignments. That is not wise! Let me ask you again!”
Si-chan once again crouches and whispers to him.
“. . . .”
The man goes silent for a while.
“*Sigh*, Guess I’ll crush your hands next.”
The giant rock hand touches the man’s left hand, and as the man felt a heavy pressure on his left hand, he immediately screamed.
“W-WAIT WAIT WAAAIIIIIIIITTTTT!! *SOBS* I’LL TELL YOU!!! I’LL TELL YOU!! PLEASE!!! DON’T CRUSH MY LEFT ARM!! PLEASEEEEE!!! *SOBS*”
The man who claims to be a professional assassin, working in the underworld, is now screaming and crying pathetically before Si-chan. He didn’t even try to transform his hands because of how scared he is. Si-chan leans downwards again towards him.
*!!!*
As soon as the man whispered something to Si-chan, her expression showed a face of great disbelief. She looks devastated by something the man told him.
*GGRRRRKKK*
Si-chan dismantles her giant rock hand into pieces, and it disintegrates, subconsciously. The man is lying helplessly on the ground, unable to move without his legs, but all of a sudden.
*Glitter glitter*
His legs regrew, but they are now diamonds. He immediately stands up and runs away really fast.
*THUD THUD THUD THUD*
“(W-WHAT? HOW IS HE RUNNING?)”
I was confused seeing the man running on two legs, even though Si-chan had already crushed them.
Si-chan snaps out of her disbelief and turns her head towards the running man.
“WHAT THE--?”
“HEH!! A TRANSFORMATION TYPE BELIEVER CAN TEMPORARILY RECOVER THEIR LOST BODY PARTS BY SIMPLY TRANSFORMING THEM!! THOUGH THIS DOESN’T MEAN THEIR LOST BODY PARTS ARE HEALED! GOODBYE YOU LITTLE BITCH!! I’LL COME BACK TO KILL YOUR FATHER AND YOU ONE DAY!! REMEMBER THAT!!”
“I DID NOT SAY THAT YOU CAN LEAVE!!”

Si-chan lifts up ten tall trees from all around her. All the trees were floating high above the sky, and Si-chan moved all of them so their top part were pointing downwards towards the running man. The root part of the ten trees was all covered in a thick chunk of the earth, and that is what Si-chan controls and not the trees themselves.
*BWOOOOSSSHHHH*
*GRAAAHHK GRAHK GRAHK GRAHK*
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!”
Si-chan launches all ten trees towards the running man at high speed. Three tall trees pierce his torso, his entire right arm, and his left upper arm. He fell down to the ground from the instant pain and heavy weights that he felt. The rest of the trees pierce his body without fail, and the man’s screams can no longer be heard after all ten trees hit and pierce him. His diamond legs slowly break apart and disintegrate. The man was brutally and horribly murdered by Si-chan’s hands.
His corpse’s condition afterwards was so gruesome that there were no traces of his identity anymore. It became just a pile of bloodied flesh under a pile of heavy trees.
“UPH!! HOOOEEEEKKKK!!!”
I immediately regurgitated, witnessing the entire sequence happen right before my eyes. Thankfully, I wasn’t vomiting up any food because I was planning to have dinner with Si-chan anyway.

Si-chan heard my vomiting sound and she immediately trapped me inside a big ball of dirt. The ball of dirt floats towards Si-chan and lands in front of her. She crumbles about one-fourth of the ball of dirt’s entire size on the topside, and my upper body is revealed from under all the dirt.
“BWEH!! PEH! PEH!! WEEEEKKK!!!”
I coughed out all of the dirt that got into my mouth with my tongue out. The dirt tastes so disgusting, and I almost vomit for a second time from it.
*!!!*
“M-MARI-CHAN?”
Once again, Si-chan did not expect me to come out of the ball of dirt. Not even her wildest imagination would have guessed that it was me.
*ZRRSSHHHH*
I lifted both of my hands upwards, pushing away all of the dirt that had buried my hands, and showed Mari-chan all the food that I carried with me, though the food package was horribly dented because of her ball of dirt.
“S-SI-CHAN!! I BROUGHT DINNER!!”
I give her my biggest smile despite the brutality that just happened.
“EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHHHHH???”
Si-chan is in deep confusion, and she cannot process everything that has just happened.
