Healerguy was doing some strange test on me. I’m not a Golden Angel but I’ve been caught by him enough times to know that these test are irregular, more so as he is giving Raishin and the passed-out Greg normal tests.

  “Hmm, as expected, similar results to those of Giana. It confirms that you’re of the same race!”

  I thought that you already knew by now, especially after Greg blabbered about it.

  “I needed hard evidence and see for myself, you’re healthy besides… 35 stacks of [Charmed]…”

  Wait?! [Charmed] stacks?

  Healerguy shook his head. “It doesn’t normally, I can’t find any curse on you that suggests that it could cause afflictions to stack on you although I have no idea what this [Acedia] and [Gula] curses do. Although… I think I’ve read about them somewhere. Either way Giana has been made aware that someone tried to [Charm] you, I am however surprised that it doesn’t seem to affect you.”

  Uh that wasn’t needed, I’m sure she was already aware as she did something to me that saved me.

  “I see, well, I can’t remove [Charm] this strong, you need Giana for this. I will look into those curses. It’s strange as I’ve noticed them before but never thought much of them. Now go before I get more ideas for tests!”

  Healerguy was checking up on the still-unconscious Greg while Raishin and I escaped from the sickbay.

  Raishin! We have a problem! I have 35 stacks of [Charmed] on me!

  Nice! So, when’s the wedding?

  I smacked him. No weddings! This means I need to visit Giana to get this off me else Hisui will one shot me the next time we meet.

  I grabbed Raishin and teleported to the roof as fans started to gather around us.

  I hopped in my dimensional pocket, freshened myself up, got a new set of casual clothing, and hopped out.

  So that thing with those hats, I thought you needed to be a chick for that.

  Hah! Not anymore! But a hat is quite impractical now that I don’t need to be a Misha. I was thinking of changing the form to Nilah in sword form but I need more time to get it there. It’s also easier to stand on a sword than to stand on a hat. A shadow clone almost fell off the hat in that battle against Greg.

  So uhhh do you mind looking at my magic circles and improving them a bit?

  Wow! I thought that you’d never ask!

  I sat down and opened several openings to my dimensional pocket.

  Air is one of the few things I unintentionally store, which means I have air from various parts of the continent with their corresponding ambient mana composition, which I need to extract mana runes from.

  Now show me which one you want to have improved.

  The [Nova Blast] series.

  Oh yeah, you do use them a lot, show me the magic circle of [Nova Blast], [Supernova Blast], and [Giganova Blast]. I should be able to derive the stronger versions based off those.

  Raishin showed me the magic circles and I had to interrupt [Giganova Blast] as Raishin’s mana control was so shit that he accidentally cast it. What a mess, but 6t aren’t known for their mana control so that was to be expected.

  I knew your magic circles were inefficient but this is almost god-tier inefficient, how you can cast through this garbage is a mystery to me.

  The first thing that I looked for were the runes that were responsible for the damage modifiers. It will determine if the skill is a [Nova Blast], [Supernova Blast] or [Giganova Blast]. After finding the common factors in the modifiers, I will wipe out all the runes as creating this inefficient skill from scratch will be easier than untangling this mess.

  Did the 6t steal this skill from a god? Because if someone made this, he had no clue what he was doing. Or maybe it had mutated over the millennia but… this bad?

  Raishin showed surprise and shock when I deleted everything in the magic circle. But he didn’t say anything.

  The first obstacle was making the magic circle robust. The new version would need way less mana for a much bigger impact but… I’m sure Raishin will forget after several attempts and pour as much mana in it as he normally does.

  It doesn’t happen often but it's possible to fail magic circles by pouring too much mana into it as it could clog it or just destroy it, something that could totally happen if I half-ass this magic circle.

  Luckly, I know how to make robust magic circles because I needed to make one for the basis of the spirit vessels.

  The robust mana circle was complete and I filled it with runes that could create a better, stronger, flashier, and more efficient [Nova Blast] series.

  The modifier had some exotic runes but I had some of them as they needed ambient mana that was similar to that on Mount Thunderpeak.

  I’m so glad that my tails just separate and store anything that comes in my dimensional pocket, including air with different compositions.

  I also have water with slightly different compositions from all my underwater adventures.

  The modifiers got added and I added some fake complexities and showed it to Raishin.

  There we go. It wasn’t that hard. Make sure you learn it properly as I’m going to help you scramble the magic circle after you’ve learned it so nobody can steal it. Only teach it to people you trust.

  Yes, because it doesn’t have all the junk your original ones had. Now let me show you how to scramble it, I would recommend putting your tail on it as you will forget but your tail will keep track of what you did.

  The rest of the night was spent teaching Raishin how to scramble his magic circle. It succeeded but he didn’t get it, luckily his tail got it.

  6t might be the only tailed beasts where the head is dumber than the first tail. His first tail had no problem understanding it. What a weird race.

  Greg [Shadow melded] to us early in the morning.

  Ugh, I had a nightmare where Agnis trolled me and mercilessly knocked me out.

  That was real though, not sure what you were expecting after threatening me with sand.

  My bad, I don’t know what came over me. When are we heading to Gavin?

  We’re going to Jarn first! You need a different suit and I need a new bathrobe and sand-repelling clothing.

  Did you really have to beat me up while wearing your bathrobe?

  I slid an assassin off the roof when I discovered to my horror that Raishin was attempting to cast his new and improved [Nova Blast].

  Raishin! Are you insane?

  The [Nova Blast] went off and created a bright flash in the sky. It was dawn and still quite dark so it was blinding, what was worse; he took out a city block worth of roofs.

  Uhhm… oops?

  Greg and I facepalmed. Right, I think we should expedite our trip to Jarn!

  I covered us in illusions, grabbed them with my tails and dashed westward.

  The morning was cool. Most of the fairies had been obliterated but there were still some small swarms here and there.

  Raishin used his new [Nova Blast] to one shot this small swarm of fairies.

  We still don’t know what those abominations are, do we?

  You’re correct, their origin is uncertain.

  What Greg said wasn’t exactly a lie, they come from beyond the dimension but they should originate from somewhere, right? Like a fairy dimension or something. But does that make sense? Their whole thing is to destroy dimensions. Maybe they destroyed their own and are looking for fresh meat… ehh dimensions.

  Or are there different structures besides dimensions? Who knows.

  So, if you have this type of mastery over magic circles and mana runes, why do you only ever cast simple and ‘unshaped’ magic?

  Well firstly, I was too lazy to create ‘shaped’ magic as it adds a lot of complexity. My most recent creation was [Boat Magic] which was challenging in its own rights, and secondly… I want something that truly fits me. I don’t want to make a skill to then never use it.

  A large ship consisting out of frost magic appeared and I stopped next to it.

  Uhh, about 3-4 hours. Most of it was trial and error as how funny it might sound; I didn’t know how a boat works exactly. I’m sure it has some flaws which I will solve, someday. Either way be glad catboi, if we ever get close to a lot of water, which we will, [Boat Magic] will save you.

  We continued our trip toward Jarn and with ‘we’, I mean ‘me’ as I’m their transportation.

  Hmm well kinda. I have Dragonvein and I took a liking to no-winged dragons but I don’t think I will use those as a shape for my magic. I was thinking of a phoenix for fire and orcas for water. I have Nilah so foxes might be confusing for anything besides frost so I need to find something for lightning but I couldn’t think of anything that suits me for lightning.

  So, you’re turning into ‘Zoo Agnis’!

  Relatively normal. There is still pressure from other countries on Jarn as they are expecting its textile to return to their former glory so there might be some tension between the inhabitants and foreigners but it should be fine.

  It was getting hard to keep up my speed with all the settlements spread around Zilk, the capital of Jarn, so I chain teleported until we got close. I stopped 3 km from the capital, we would walk from here.

  Why didn’t you teleport in?

  From what I remember, Zilk has probably the best security on the continent as its king was extremely weak. The current ruler might not be as weak but guards don’t forget their training overnight. We might get redirected if we try to teleport in.

  Raishin was complaining about walking as always as he had questionable shoes. I wonder if this guy will ever learn.

  Oh right, better hide that we’re beast kin, especially you Agnis… they might want to turn your tail into a coat…

  Oh, hell no! But that makes sense…

  We hid our ears and tails and walked toward the capital. Every city was reinforced and closely guarded since the fairy invasion.

  “Reason for visit?” A city guard asked.

  I’m interested in the textile museum .

  “Ugh, more tourists. It will take a while before we will start exporting our usual quality, just be patient.”

  The guard checked our ID’s, gave us directions, and let us in.

  So, they didn’t stop exporting it, they’re just having difficulties…. I don’t buy it. Something is fishy and I will find out what type of fish it is!

  Whoa! Guys look! The chicks here wear next to nothing!

  Hmm they wear enough to invoke the imagination and lust, what is going on here?

  I tripped Raishin who was about to follow a busty blonde and dragged him with me.

  Raishin fixed his posture and tried to not stare at the strangely dressed women. The men were similarly dressed but not gaining as much attention as the women.

  The last time I came here it looked like a circus, now it looks like those uni parties. What’s next up? Tribal clothing?

  We followed the street to a plaza. It should be easy to find the museum from the plaza but…

  It’s quite crowded here. Are these all here for the museum?

  I exhaled audibly and Greg was trying to find out why this line was so long.

  Hmm about the same as Gittrian so B tier. It's far from Alledra or Boshi town’s S-rank sewers.

  I still don’t understand how Boshi town’s sewers were so clean…
