"What did you say? Your daughter is Ellie?"
In a forgotten corner of the city, David stared intently at Akizuki, hardly believing what he was hearing.
Not long ago, David had managed to shake off Mark and his crew with Akizuki's help, only to discover that Akizuki's daughter was...Ellie?!
Something was definitely off. He'd even bought his disguise mask from Ellie herself.
Akizuki had mentioned his two daughters being taken from him, and David had immediately pictured Beautiful girls, but it turned out to be Ellie all along.
Even more puzzling, David couldn't think of any real beef between himself and Akizuki or Mark's gang. Why were they doing this to him?
It finally clicked. David realized there was something he didn't know.
After comparing notes and puzzling over the inconsistencies, David and Akizuki stumbled upon a shocking truth.
Someone was impersonating David and causing trouble!
David trembled with rage, ripping off his disguise mask, throwing it on the ground, and stomping on it.
"Damn it! Who's setting me up?"
Akizuki stood awkwardly nearby, realizing he'd been played for a fool.
"David, have you pissed someone off?" Akizuki asked.
Pissed someone off?
David immediately thought of Jason.
The only person he'd truly crossed in Escape World was Jason.
It started when he stole Jason's van, and Jason had been retaliating ever since, getting Kira to trick him into buying those boots, and nearly getting stung to death by Joyce's bees in the zombie world. And apparently, it wasn't over. Jason had arranged for Ellie to sell him the disguise mask, leading to the revenge plot by Akizuki and Mark's crew. Jason must be the mastermind behind all of this.
Well, David knew he had messed with a jerk.
Most people would've just cursed him out in the Weixin group for stealing the van, but David was going to all lengths to screw him over.
He fell for it all, completely unprepared.
David's face flushed with anger, cursing Jason in his mind.
He had a temper too. If Jason was going to mess with him like this, he'd find a way to get back at him.
"Jason...you just wait."
Akizuki's eyes darted around. "David, is this Jason you speak of..."

David's eyes blazed with fury, nodding firmly. "It has to be him. He must've had Ellie sell me that mask."
Akizuki's eyes lit up. "That guy stole my daughters and left me crippled. I have a blood feud with him!"
Akizuki clapped David on the shoulder, saying that they shared a common enemy and he would help David seek revenge.
Hearing this, David looked Akizuki up and down, then shook his head.
Akizuki was a cripple, reeked of pee, and was completely useless.
Akizuki clearly wanted to become his follower.
But David had no intention of taking in such a burden.
Especially with that pee smell. No one would be able to stand being in the van, and the beautiful sisters would probably beat him up for it.
David wanted to find some women on the bus. He had no time to babysit Akizuki.
After a few empty words, David turned to leave.
Akizuki quickly stopped David, saying he had value and wanted to become David's follower.
"Value? What value do you have?" David asked, puzzled.
Akizuki straightened up as much as he could. "I got a Skills Dungeon Token on the bus. I can make potions now."
The Skills Dungeon Token he obtained was pretty good; it allowed him to craft a potion that could heal injuries. If he could gather the necessary materials, he might even be able to fix his ruined manhood.
But first, he needed to find the ingredients.
Hearing Akizuki's words, David was shocked. He hadn't expected Akizuki to have such an ability.
David thought for a moment, then decided to take Akizuki in.
Akizuki was an extremely rare talent. The ability to craft healing potions was too valuable. If he gave Akizuki the materials, he could generate a lot of profit.
Most importantly, Akizuki was Ellie's father.
Which man could resist a blonde, pigtailed, mixed-race girl like Ellie?
David even looked at Ellie's avatar every night before bed...
With Akizuki as a connection, maybe he could get Ellie into his van.
Meanwhile, Jason had no idea that David and Akizuki had joined forces in this life, and were already plotting how to get revenge on him and steal Ellie away.
Inside the RV, Jenna had cooked over two hundred skewers of meat, using up a lot of Physique and Spirit and was completely exhausted.
The other women were startled, not expecting grilling meat to drain Jenna so much.
Jason had been watching Jenna closely, and caught her as she was about to collapse, pulling her into his arms.
"David, grilling is so tiring..." Jenna murmured softly, then closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep.
In David's arms, Jenna relaxed completely, feeling like she'd found the safest place in the world.
Jason looked at the sleeping girl in his arms, feeling a pang of sympathy. He conjured a towel to wipe the sweat off her face, then carried her to the Simmons Double Bed to rest.
With the bed's recovery effect, Jenna would wake up after a short nap.
"Chloe, prepare some food for Jenna later. Have her eat when she wakes up," Jason instructed.
Jenna had been so busy grilling that she hadn't eaten anything herself. To recover her Physique and Spirit, she needed to replenish her energy.
Chloe nodded. "Hubby, don't worry. I'll take good care of Jenna."
Everyone else was almost done eating. Those who were still hungry could grill more skewers or eat some bread and Maruchan Ramen Noodle Soup, Chicken Flavor.
Jason felt confident leaving the women to clean up in the kitchen. He took Joyce and drove to the Vehicle Owners Meet-Up.
Joyce, holding a handful of meat skewers grilled by Jenna, didn't even need to return to her own SUV. She sat in the passenger seat of the RV, using her mental powers to control the vehicle's movement.
With David driving and Joyce controlling, the RV and SUV drove through the city and soon found a gathering place with hundreds of vehicles parked.
Since it was evening, all the vehicles had their headlights on.
Many people were walking around the gathering place, and some were even setting up stalls to trade.
The whole place felt like a bustling night market.
Jason and Joyce found a corner to park their vehicles. Leaving Chloe, Kira and others to guard the RV and SUV, he took Joyce, Ellie, and Lily to walk around the gathering.
Jason hadn't wanted to bring Ellie and Lily at first.
But after seeing the gathering, the two girls were so curious they begged and pleaded with David until he finally agreed.
