Truth and Hunger

  Scene 1: After the Battle

Inside the old woman’s humble cottage, Shimoru sat on the wooden floor, his hands still trembling slightly. The ice he had summoned in the heat of battle had long since vanished, yet the lingering sensation of power still thrummed within his body.

Across from him, the old woman poured a cup of steaming tea and pced it in front of him, her eyes studying him with quiet intensity.

Old Woman (with a calm smile): "You did it, boy."

Shimoru took the cup, though he didn’t drink from it. His mind was still swirling with questions.

Shimoru: "What was that power...? How did I do that?"

The old woman took a sip of her tea, then let out a thoughtful sigh.

Old Woman: "That was the legacy flowing through your veins—the ancient force you've carried since the day you were born. It’s what those knights were searching for."

  Scene 2: The Deadly Hunger

Before she could continue, a loud growl came from Shimoru’s stomach.

  "GRRRRRRRRRRR..."

The old woman paused, raising an eyebrow. Shimoru blushed in embarrassment.

Shimoru (awkwardly): "...Looks like I used up a lot of energy."

She chuckled lightly and stood, making her way toward the cooking pot.

Old Woman: "That's only natural. After releasing that much energy, your body demands fuel. I’ll make you some stew."

Shimoru offered a grateful smile, but his stomach growled again—louder this time.

Shimoru (clutching his stomach): "I don’t think stew alone’s gonna be enough..."

She said nothing, already focused on preparing the meal.

  Scene 3: The Legacy Unveiled

Later, with an empty bowl in front of him and warmth returning to his limbs, Shimoru noticed a shift in her tone. Her eyes grew serious.

Old Woman: "It’s time you heard the truth, Shimoru. About your past—and about the power within you."

Shimoru’s fingers curled into fists. He braced himself.

Old Woman: "Long ago, there was a kingdom called Azura—a mighty realm known for its mastery over ice. It was powerful, prosperous... but it fell, torn apart by war and betrayal. Now, only whispers remain. Whispers... and a single heir."

Shimoru’s breath caught in his chest.

Shimoru (quietly): "Are you saying... I’m the heir to that kingdom?"

  She nodded slowly.

Old Woman: "Yes. And those who came after you today want nothing more than to make sure that legacy dies with you."

  ---

  Scene 4: The Dumb Moment

Silence followed. Shimoru sat in deep thought… then suddenly smmed his hand on the table.

Shimoru (serious): "So... does that mean I'm supposed to be a prince?!"

The old woman froze, then smacked him over the head with her wooden staff.

Old Woman: "This isn’t the time for titles, you idiot!"

Shimoru (rubbing his head): "Oww! I was just trying to make sense of it all!"

She let out a long sigh, shaking her head like she was questioning the universe’s decision to entrust him with anything important.

  Scene 5: What Comes Next

Once the atmosphere settled, Shimoru looked at her again—his eyes more resolute.

Shimoru: "What do I do now?"

She finished the st of her tea and pced the cup down gently.

Old Woman: "Now? You train. You grow stronger. Because the Bck Knights... will return."

Shimoru swallowed hard. This wasn’t over.

But this time, he wouldn’t be just a frightened boy with shaking hands.

  This time... he’d be ready.
