In a world dominated by beings they don’t even know exist…
“They remember Him as ’God.’ A good man. Perhaps the best of us all. The problem is… God left that world a long time ago. All He left behind was His book of grace—known as the Bible,” says Great Lucifer, the being who technically inherited Earth after the Creator’s departure.
“I’ve tried to keep it in check. For the most part, all I do is send demons back to Hell when they crawl out onto Earth’s surface. It’s a thankless job, really.
But something… strange has happened.
It seems a demon and a human have conceived a child. How intriguing. Normally, that baby would’ve been erased by me without a second thought. But this time…
I’m curious.
Will it end in chaos? Or maybe—just maybe—peace between humans
For now… I’ll just watch.”
“It’s a boy,” a young woman mutters weakly from a hospital bed.
“Miss… will it be the usual procedure?” asks Dr. Habbot.
“Yes… send him through adoption. I’m not fit to raise any of them. Just like the other four,” she answers.
“A wise decision,” the doctor replies flatly. “We’ll have him processed shortly.”
Three months later
Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
A young couple walks through the gleaming white gates of St. Pete’s Hospital—a place that seems too pure, too radiant, to exist in this world. The building gleams with a strange beauty: perfectly white walls, immaculate landscaping, and an almost tangible aura of peace.
“We called a few months back about a newborn,” the woman says at the front desk. “Is he still available?”
The receptionist, visibly uneasy, hesitates before answering. “Yes… he’s still here. Would you like to meet him?”
The couple nods eagerly, unaware of the weight of the decision they’re about to make. They’re led down sterile white halls filled with protective sigils carved into the very walls, as if the hospital itself were preparing for war.
They finally meet the baby—and the moment their eyes land on him, it’s decided.
“We want him,” the woman says softly.
“You’ll have to name him, of course,” the nurse adds with a bright smile.
“Nathan,” the man says. “Nathan Alexio.”
“He’s beautiful,” the woman whispers. “And sound asleep… even with all this light.”
Oh, even I, Lucifer, could not have predicted this… A human family, adopting a demon child. What will a half-breed become when raised under human love and culture?
I’ll be watching…
Sixteen Years Later
“NATHAN! YOU’RE GONNA BE LATE FOR SCHOOL!!” Emma yells from the kitchen.
“I know, Mom! I just wanna wake Dad first!” Nathan calls back, already halfway down the hall.
His father, Eddie, groans. “What happened to a gentle greeting? A ‘Good morning,’ maybe? But fine… I’m up.”
“You sure?” Nathan asks, smirking.
“Yeah, kid. Anyway—what did your mom whip up?”
“She made a bacon soufflé.”
“Oh, we’re getting exotic today!” Eddie exclaims.
“Well, you guys enjoy it. I gotta run—school’s calling,” Nathan says, grabbing his bag and giving his dad a quick kiss on the cheek. “Love you, bye!”
Walking toward his new school, Nathan can’t help but think to himself:
I’ve been to a few schools already, but this is the first time I’ve heard of a ‘Demon-Hunting Academy.’
Apparently I have a “connection” to cursed energy. The priest at my old school practically begged my parents to transfer me here.
Demons are real—sure. But is this really how I’m gonna die? Fighting monsters in a school uniform? Can’t I just become a receptionist or something and sit behind a desk for the rest of my life?
Oh well… guess I won’t know till I get there.
He finally arrives at the address. What he sees stops him in his tracks.
A massive, gated entrance. The largest fountain he’s ever seen. And a building that looks less like a school and more like a gothic cathedral crossed with a royal palace. Every surface shines like it’s never been touched by dirt. The air itself feels heavy with mystery.
“Holy shit,” Nathan breathes.
Maybe the receptionist job will have to wait.
