“Venatores Academy, the top Hunter school in the world has finally released what their entry test is all about.” The news anchor announced. “We will be going over it all in an hour now onto the daily news!” The announcer says cheerfully as the tv turns off and Azel sets an alarm on his phone and lazily walks down the hall. He looks at the clock on the wall. The time reads 5:14, and he enters the study; he walks around the bookshelves looking at each of the books. He reads a few books about magic history as his alarm rings and he rushes to the living room: he turns on the Tv to the news channel and waits. “Alright time to reveal what is on the entrance test for Venatores Academy, for the written portion expect questions about magic, magic history, and history of the great war to the present. Now the most favorite part, the physical test is going to be: all Examinees vs the Professors and the 100 Examinees remaining will be the new students. The exam begins in 2 days.” The news anchor says as Azel jumps up and rushes to go pack as it's a day and half journey to the Academy.
“I’M OFF” Azel yells as he runs out the door and gets on the bus to the capital. The bus ride is long, tiring, cramping in the musky smelling bus; but eventually he reaches the sprawling city Weriun. Shops lining the roads and the Castle tucked away in the back and right in the center of Weriun Venatores Academy. Azel quickly grabs his bags and runs to the academy; he reaches it in the nick of time as the written test begins. One hour passes then Two then Three the time keeps ticking up as Azel hears the scratching of quills on paper eventually after Five hours he gets done. He turns in his test and waits for the Physical exam to start. We skip another hour Azel scrolling on his phone, the Physical Exam finally starting as Azel puts his phone in his bag. The Exam Proctor starts to explain the Physical Exam “The Physical Exam is split into three parts: the mana test, the tournament, and the practical in that order.” The Proctor continues “The mana test will have you placing both hands on a custom mana stone in order to rank your starting mana. The tournament is in 1 vs 1 style and is mainly used to cut down the pool of examiners in half. Finally the Physical Exam will be a group of 5 examiners vs a C rank monster; this will give your team placements and those team placements will be further split into individual placements. Individual placements give you points and resources that are put on your school account.” The Proctor finishes explaining the Physical Exam.

A round mana stone 5 feet in diameter gets wheeled in. Over the next 3 hours every Examiner gets their mana ranked until it's finally Azels turn. He walks up the stage and places his hands on the mana stone and after 1 minute it reads B rank a good starting place. The last Examiners go and check their rank which takes another hour; after all of it they get led to the huge courtyard lined with battle stages as Azel checks who he is fighting against and sees the name Athen Demetriou, a girl who was ranked as A. He knows the battle will be tough to win but he needs to win this, he needs to make sure his family is always safe. He grabs a sword and gets onto the battle stages and as Athen Demetriou walks up onto the stage a scythe as her chosen weapon. They wait for the Proctor to blow the whistle. The whistle blows and Azel and Athen rush to the middle.
