Ch3 Mysterious ride to IIT

Gwen stared at the figure before her, his identity shrouded in mystery. "Who are you?" she asked, her voice curious but wary.

“Everyone calls me Unknown,” the figure replied, his voice calm but carrying an enigmatic edge.

She furrowed her brow. "What a weird name," she exclaimed, more to herself than to him.

Unknown’s gaze never wavered, but he seemed amused. "Are you afraid of heights?" he asked, his tone casual.

Gwen blinked, a little thrown off by the sudden shift. “Yes... but, why?” she asked, trying to make sense of his cryptic question.

A faint smile played at the corner of his lips. “Good,” he said, bending down, his hands wrapping around her legs. Before she could protest, he lifted her effortlessly and held her in his arms. “Hold me tight,” he instructed.

“What are you doing?!” she exclaimed in shock. “Leave me!”

But Unknown ignored her frantic shouts. In an instant, with the grace of a predator, he leapt into the air. His body moved like a blur, jumping from rooftop to rooftop with a fluidity that left Gwen gasping. Her heart pounded in her chest as she clung to him, trying to steady herself, but the world around her felt like it was spinning.

For what seemed like forever, they soared through the night sky. Gwen’s mind struggled to keep up, but finally, after twenty minutes, they landed softly on the road where Gwen’s luggage waited, as if nothing had happened.

Gwen stumbled, trying to regain her bearings, her mind still whirling from the dizzying heights they’d just traversed.

"How did you jump so high ?", she asked .

He replied without much thought, "Secret".

  "Ok now I'm leaving".

  "Wait wait" she exclaimed.

“Can you show me where my college is?” she asked, her voice shaky.

“IIT?” Unknown asked, his gaze meeting hers. “In Dome City?”

“Yes, but how did you know” she nodded, “Can you take me there?”

“Fine,” he said, turning his back to her. He seemed completely unfazed by the night’s strange events.

Suddenly, he spoke again. “A.I., bring my bike.”

Gwen looked at him, confused. “Are you a boy or a girl, or none?” she asked, genuinely curious.

Unknown tilted his head, “I don’t think I’m bound to answer you. If you are uncomfortable, then…” He trailed off, and cubes came out of his skin quickly turned blue , they stopped in air for a moment ,rotated and went back. In the blink of an eye, he became a girl—of about her age, with dark hair and a similar build .

Gwen’s eyes widened in disbelief. “How do you shape-shift?” she gasped, her mind reeling with the impossibility of it all.

Unknown smirked but didn’t answer her directly. “Secret,” was all he said.

Before Gwen could ask more, a sound broke through the air—a distant hum of an engine. Gwen turned, and to her astonishment, a sleek, black motorcycle appeared in front of them, speeding towards them as if it were summoned by some unseen force. But there was no rider. It was a self-driving bike.

Gwen gasped. “You have a self-driving bike too?”

“Yeah. Sit now,” Unknown said, his voice returning to its usual detached tone. While sitting, he shifted back into his original male form.

Gwen could hardly believe what she was seeing."How did you make a self-driving bike?", she asked, grabbed her bags and climbed onto the bike. As soon as she sat down, Unknown started the electric engine, and the bike roared to life.

"Isn't it electric? Then why is it making sound?" She asked.

"You ask too many questions " he replied.

“Are you scared of high speed?” Unknown asked, completely ignoring her.

Gwen hesitated, then nodded. “Yes… but why? Wait, no—”

Without another word, Unknown accelerated, and the bike shot forward like a bullet, racing down the highway at breakneck speeds. Gwen barely had time to react as the world around her blurred into a streak of lights. She gripped the sides of her seat, her heart racing faster than the bike.

“Don’t worry, Gwen,” Unknown said, his voice almost calm. “It’s night. No one’s on the road.” As he spoke he saw a massive truck heading toward them, blocking the road.

Gwen’s eyes widened in panic. “We won’t make it in time!” she screamed. “Slow down!”

But it was too late. There was no time to break, no time to swerve. The crash seemed inevitable.

Fifteen seconds passed—nothing. No crash. No explosion. No shattering of bones. No reincarnation.

Gwen clutched her seat in blind terror, expecting the worst. She opened her eyes, and to her astonishment, she saw they were still alive. But the scene before her was completely different.

“Are we still alive?” Gwen asked, her voice shaky as she dared to open her eyes fully. She gasped in horror. “What is this?!”

The bike wasn’t on the road anymore. Instead, they were soaring through the sky. The bike’s wheels weren’t turning. Instead, they were surrounded by streams of blue energy, with two large boosters firing from the back and two from the front.

“You’re really fragile,” Unknown commented, his tone entirely unfazed by the dramatic shift in their situation.

Gwen was frozen, her mind struggling to process what was happening. We’re flying. She looked down at the bike, at the thrusters, and then back at Unknown. “Did you make them? Aren’t these ionic thrusters?”

Unknown glanced at her, almost bored. “Yes.”

In the sky, near the clouds, the golden-white dressed man saw them on the bike and said, "Found you."
