Chapter 3 - The tragedy of Muroto Kusanagi
*The sky is full of gray clouds that seem to be endless*
*The wheels of a wagon hit the rocks of a wide road surrounded by a field*
*On the back of the wagon, Shun has a frown on his face and his teeth are almost crushing each other*
Shun: I can’t stand it anymore!
Shun: It's been like 5 hours since we’re on this wagon! I can't stand it!
*An old man who is driving the wagon looks at Shun*
*The man has short white hair, light skin, a white beard and torn black clothes*
Romero: Be patient there, boy! We’re almost there!
Shun: Okay…
*Kusanagi appears from a purple haze*
Kusanagi: I recall this road.
Kusanagi: We are almost in Latinia.
Shun: Great.
Shun: But it's still so boring to stand still here.
Shun: Old man! Wanna fight?
*Shun points his sword at the man*
*Kusanagi facepalms*
Romero: N-No! I’m not a warrior!
Shun: Good grief.
Shun: Kusanagi! Wanna fight?
Kusanagi: I can't. I’m not in my body.
Shun: Right.
Shun: But, tell me how this Bladebound stuff works.
Kusanagi: I can't believe you don't know it.
Kusanagi: There's an Arm Slash that allows someone’s consciousness to be sealed in a bladed object.
Shun: So then it’s true that some swords have souls.
Kusanagi: In a way, yes.
Kusanagi: The old friend we’re about to visit is the man that put my soul inside this sword.
Kusanagi: His name is Norman Callibro.
Kusanagi: We’ve fought alongside each other countless times.
Kusanagi: Moreover, the sword that my soul is currently inside of is his.

*When Shun and Kusanagi look around them, they see a wall with many armed guards in front of it*
*The guards are uniformed with dark gray armor, helmets that cover the head completely with large blades that extend from the tip of the nose, chains all around their bodies and a “6” drawn on the torso”
Kusanagi: Oh no…
Shun: What’s up, guys?
Guard: What is it?
Shun: I wanna enter this city.
Guard: You seem like an illegal from Latinia. I can't trust you.
Shun: I’m not from Latinia.
Shun: For me to be from there, I’d have to come from the north, not the south.
Guard: That travel strategy doesn't work anymore, Latinian bastard!
Shun: I’m not from Latinia.
Guard: Then prove it.
Shun: Can it be with a fight?
Guard: Yes.

*One of the guards gets near Shun and draws his sword*
Shun: Let’s blow this popsicle stand!
Giuseppe: Let’s go.
Shun: (Fox style!)
*Shun runs toward Giuseppe, who doesn't move a centimeter*
*Shun performs a quick attack against Giuseppe, but the guard does not use his sword*
*He moves his head downward and blocks the attack with his nose blade*
Shun: What?
*Giuseppe performs a quick attack with his sword, hitting Shun’s shoulder*
Shun: Ah!
*Shun jumps backward*
Shun: (He used two styles at the same time…)
Shun: This wouldn't be possible with only one weapon, but..)
Shun: (His helmet is a weapon!)
Kusanagi: These are the Nocchio force. They’re Dizimo soldiers.
Kusanagi: Be careful.
Shun: I certainly will!
Kusanagi: Do you have a plan to defeat him?
Shun: I don't need a plan.
*Shun runs towards Giuseppe*
Shun: (Tiger style!)
*Giuseppe tries to defend himself, but is stabbed in the torso by Shun*
Giuseppe: Ah!
*When Shun least expects it, Giuseppe deeply stabs Shun in his leg*
*Shun jumps backward, and nearly falls*
Shun: (Even when I hit an attack, his other weapon hits me…)
Shun: (How’ll I defeat him?)
Shun: (Wait…)
Shun: (I think I know how!)
*Shun looks at Giuseppe, but instead of running he does nothing but laugh*
Shun: Shahahahahaha!
Shun: My bad! I can't control the urge to laugh when I’m doing nothing but stare at someone!
Giuseppe: What are you doing?
Shun: Nothing.
Shun: And I didn't even need to anything, because Dízimo soldiers are all weak!
Giuseppe: You bastard!
*Giuseppe runs toward Shun*
Kusanagi: Imagination Slash?
Shun: Nah.
Shun: (He always has a counter for all my styles…)
Shun: (Except for this one.)
*Shun performs an attack toward Giuseppe, but Giuseppe blocks it*
Giuseppe: It’s over!
*Giuseppe attacks Shun heavily, or at least that’s what he wanted to do*
*When he looks at his hand, his sword is gone*
Giuseppe: What?
Shun: My insults made you focus more on stabbing me with your woodpecker nose than looking at your sword.
Shun: This is the Cat Style!
*Shun stabs Giuseppe with his own sword*
*Giuseppe falls to the ground*
Shun: It was a fun fight!
Giuseppe: My reputation…
Guard: Come in.
*The other guards get surprised by this action*
Guard: Only someone who isn't from Latinia would know this style.
*The door opens*
Kusanagi: How so?
Shun: Only someone who isn't from Latinia would have good enough education to learn this style.
Kusanagi: Wait…
Kusanagi: If we aren't in Latinia…
Kusanagi: Where are we?
Shun: That's right.
Shun: Hey, bro! Where are we?
*Shun looks at the guard,
Guard: What do you mean? This is Bielolatinia!
Kusanagi: Bielo… Latinia?

Kusanagi: On the mountain range.
Shun: Ok, but where’s the mountain range?
Kusanagi: Right there!
*Kusanagi points to a massive mountain far away*
Shun: Ok. Let’s go!
Kusanagi: Wait.
Kusanagi: How will we get through the city?
Kusanagi: We need a map.
Shun: Ok.
Shun: There’s a bar right there!
Shun: Let’s go!
*Shun runs toward the bar*
*A man talks to Shun*
*He has short black hair, black eyes, light skin, a black shirt with long sleeves, a white napkin on his collar and black pants*
Barista: Come in, bro.
Shun: What’s up? I wanna go to the mountain range? Do you have a map?
Barista: Of course!
Barista: It’s 13 thousand Gains.
Shun: What?
Shun: Can I buy it without paying for it?
*The barista starts laughing*
Barista: Zehahahahaha!
Shun: I mean… By paying less?
Barista: Only if you beat my henchwoman!
Barista: Get’em, Giovanna!
Giovanna: Yes!
*From a door, someone appears*
*It's a short girl that is around 12 years old with blue eyes, light skin, a black shirt with long sleeves and suspenders*
Kusanagi: It's not worth it. We’re gonna start a riot if you do it.
Shun: I don't care! I wanna fight!
Kusanagi: It could be dangerous!
Shun: If there’s no danger, there's no fun!
Kusanagi: (This is the kind of person I have to deal with…)
*Giovanna draws her sword*
*Shun draws his sword*
*Shun runs toward Giovanna*
Shun: (Tiger style!)
Kusanagi: (It's just a little gi-)
*Giovanna stabs Shun*
*Shun falls to the ground*
Giovanna: Hahahahaha! Too weak!
Shun: Let’s go!
*Shun gets up*
*Shun runs toward Giovanna*
Shun: (Tiger style!)
*Giovanna puts her sword near the attack, but can’t defend herself*
*Shun stabs Giovanna’s arm*
Giovanna: Ah!
*Giovanna falls on the ground*
Giovanna: You didn't need to hit me that strongly!
Shun: What do you mean? It’s a fight!
Giovanna: You mistreated me.
*Shun ducks to console Giovanna*
Shun: Guts are necessary. There’s no mistreatment in fighting!
Kusanagi: Shun!
*Giovanna stabs Shun’s leg*
Shun: Ah!
Giovanna: Hahahahahaha!
*Shun falls on the ground*
Giovanna: It’s over!
*Giovanna moves her sword with all her strength towards Shun*
Shun: Imagination Slash, Kusanagi!
Kusanagi: You serious?
Shun: Yeah.
Kusanagi: Alright.
Shun: Imagination Slash!
*Shun stabs Giovanna's leg, and she falls on the ground*
*Shun gets up”
*Giovanna starts crying*
Giovanna: It’s not fair!
Shun: You fought very well.
Shun: Keep evolving, and one day you will be stronger than me.
*Giovanna stops crying*
Barista: Are you crazy, bro? You attacked a child!
Shun: Fights are fights.
Shun: I’m a warrior, not a coach.
Batista: Even though what you said is a little crazy, I’ve gotta congratulate you.
Barista: Nobody has ever defeated Giovanna before.
Barista: Everybody pitied her.

Shun: I’ve come to visit Norman Callibro.
Callina: Callibro… I haven't heard that name in a long time…
Callina: Come in!
*Shun enters the house*
*It’s very disorganized from the inside, it has a concrete floor and a mixture of original architecture and renovations*

*Callina and Shun sit on the chairs*

*Shun hands the Kusanagi sword over to Callina*
Callina: This sword is incredible!
Shun: For sure!
Callina: Can I borrow it for a while?
Shun: I can't do that.
Callina: Aw, but I wanted to fight.
Shun: Wait. Fight?
Callina: Of course!
Shun: I'd love to fight you!
Kusanagi: (I’m surrounded by crazy people…)
Callina: Let's fight!
Shun: Wait. Not yet.
Callina: Aw. Why?
Shun: Because through this sword, you’ll be able to talk to Kusanagi.
Callina: Kusanagi?
*Callina starts to see Kusanagi*
Kusanagi: So… Do you know Callibro?
Callina: Yes.
Callina: He’s my grandfather.

Kusanagi: But… At least… Did SSWA win?
Callina: No, Kusanagi.
Callina: The NYFE won the Second Cross-Yuhope war.
Callina: Dízimo is the Emperor of Yuhope now…
Callina: And the Dízimo Empire exists for more than 1 century.
Callina: I carry on the legacy of the SSWA that my grandfather and my father have left behind through their fights.

*Kusanagi closes his fists, making his hand almost break*

*Callina hands the sword over to Shun*
Kusanagi: Let’s get outta here!
Shun: What happened?
Kusanagi: I’ve got something to tell you, but it can't be here!
Shun: Ok…
*Past*
*Kusanagi was in military barracks with white walls and an arena with a blue carpet below it*
*There were many people watching him fight against a man with medium ginger hair, black eyes, light skin and black clothes*
*Kusanagi draws his red trident at the same time that Gill draws his sword*
Gill: Tiger Style!
*Gill ran toward Kusanagi*
*Kusanagi, in only one move, performed a diagonal cut in Gill’s torso*
*While Gill was falling, Kusanagi put his trident on a sheath, before Gill touched the ground*
Kusanagi: Is that it?
*A man with short black hair, black eyes, dark skin, a flat collar blue shirt and white pants talked to Kusanagi*
Teem: Congratulations, Kusanagi!
Teem: You won!
Teem: Follow me. I have a surprise for you.
Kusanagi: Ok.
*Kusanagi and Teem left the barracks, where somebody was waiting for them*
*It was a man with red short hair that curled upwards, an eyepatch that covered his left eye, a black right eye, pale skin, a black shirt with a red button and red ropes, bracelets with spikes, a red kilt and black pants*
Yagami: Who is this man?
Teem: He is Muroto Kusanagi. He had a 100% score on the test.
Teem: This is Yagami
Kusanagi: Test?
Yagami: Interesting…
Yagami: You can come with me, Muroto.
Kusanagi: What’s going on?
Teem: So, I have a surprise for you. What's going on is that-
Yagami: This was actually a test to see if you could become one of the Knights of Schünn.
Kusanagi: Seriously?
Yagami: Everything is serious in the army, my dear.
Yagami: So. Will you enter or will you leave the vacancy to another person?
Kusanagi: I’ll enter.
Kusanagi: Teem…
*Kusanagi made a salute to Teem*
Kusanagi: Thanks.
Teem: Good luck, Kusanagi.
Yagami: Follow me.
*Kusanagi and Yagami rode with a wagon until they found a cave*
Kusanagi: What’s this place?
Yagami: It's our base.
Kusanagi: Ok.
*Kusanagi and Yagami entered the cave*
*Inside, there was a man of almost middle age drinking an alcoholic drink whilst playing a piano*
*He had long and wavy blond hair, a black hat, black eyes, a white flat collar shirt and blue pants*
*When he saw the two men, he got up and got near Kusanagi*
Ronnie: Nice to meet you, newcomers!
Kusanagi: I’m the only newcomer here.
Ronnie: Then, the Whiskey is already working!
Ronnie: Welcome to the 209th squad of the Knights of Schünn!
Ronnie: I’m Valencio Ronaldo, but you can call me Ronnie.
Kusanagi: And I’m Kusanagi.
Ronnie: I’m so glad you came, bro!
Ronnie: It was so boring to be with this guy!
Yagami: Shut up, Ronnie.
Kusanagi: So, it's just us three?
Ronnie: Now, yeah.
Yagami: But you came in a good time, Kusanagi.
Yagami: Because we have a new mission.
Ronnie: Mission?
Kusanagi: What mission is that?
Yagami: So. The NYFE members are breaking the Trans-Yuhope Express tracks that lead to the SSWA countries.
Ronnie: We can't even separate ourselves in peace?
Yagami: In the eyes of the Knights of Dizimo, no.
Yagami: We have to prevent this from happening…
Yagami: By any means necessary.
Kusanagi: Ok.
*The three entered a wagon and started riding through a road*
Kusanagi: So, what's the plan?
Yagami: The plan is simple.
Yagami: A clandestine driver is driving the train.
Yagami: We’re gonna fight above the tracks so that the soldiers will come after us.
Yagami: When I give the signal, we jump outside through the windows of the track and take the ladders out.
Yagami: All of our enemies will die by being ran over and we’ll be safe.

*A soldier from the Dizimo Nocchio force got out of hiding below*
*Other two also did this*
*Each one of the soldiers had crystals of different colors on their helmets*
Kusanagi: Bastards!
Soldier: We’re gonna kill you!
*The charioteer screams*
Yagami: Keep driving!
Kusanagi: Let’s fo!
*Kusanagi, Ronnie and Yagami drew their weapons, and right after, the soldiers did too*
*Kusanagi attacked the red crystal soldier quickly*
*The soldier blocked the attack*
*Ronnie, in this moment, took the opportunity to perform a strong attack that cut the throat of the soldier with his axe*
Soldier: Ah!
*The soldier fell on the ground after that, inert beside his blood*
*Yagami picked up his scythe and attacked the blue crystal soldier*
*The soldier tried to defend himself, but was defeated by him, falling to the ground, inert with blood falling from his abdomen*
*The green crystal soldier performed a strong attack between Ronnie’s shoulder and head. Ronnie tried to dodge, but did not succeed*
*Ronnie fell to the ground, bleeding*
Kusanagi: Damn you!
*Kusanagi performed a furious attack on the green crystal soldier, who tried to defend himself, but didn't succeed, and was stabbed in the heart by him, falling to the ground*
*Ronnie got up*
Yagami: Finally. All of the spies are dead.
Kusanagi: Are you sure that this one you killed is dead?
Yagami: Of course. These ELNY guys are all weak.
Ronnie: You got a point!
Yagami: Let's go.
*The trio got out of the wagon and got to a station where people fought and died non stop*
Ronnie: We can't let this go on, bros!
*Kusanagi sees a man with short black hair, red eyes, dark skin, a dark blue shirt, black suspenders and black pants fighting a Dizimo soldier*
*The Dizimo soldier threw a plank at the man*
*Kusanagi shot his trident at the head of the soldier, who fell inert on the ground*
Kusanagi: Magnet slash!
*Kusanagi was pulled in an incredible velocity toward the trident*
*As soon as he got to the man, he tried to take the plank off, but didn't succeed*
Yagami: I think we should kill him.
Kusanagi: What? Are you crazy?
Yagami: He’s suffered enough. We should take him out of his misery.
Ronnie: No, man. We’ve gotta help the dude.
*Ronnie picked up the plank and threw it away*
*The man started to cough blood*
Man: Thank you.
*Kusanagi helps the man get up*
Kusanagi: By your clothes, you’re from the SSWA.
Man: Yes. I am Norman Callibro.
Kusanagi: Ok, Callibro. You can go back home.
Callbro: I have no home anymore.
Callibro: I’ve not had a house for a long time.
Kusanagi: I understand…
Ronnie: We also don't.
Ronnie: If you wanna join us, we’re here to give ya a second helping!
Callibro: Ok.
Callibro: I’ll fight for Schünn!
Kusanagi: Then, welcome to our team.
Kusanagi: I am Muroto Kusanagi.
Kusanagi: These two are Ronnie and Yagami.
*Kusanagi pointed at his respective allies*

*Ronnie picked up a whiskey bottle from his bag and handed it over to Callibro*

*Callibro picked up his sword*

*The four of them went to the track of the Trans-Yuhope Express while Yagami explained the plan to Callibro*
*Many soldiers started attacking the four of them*
*Kusanagi attacked a soldier quickly, but the soldier defended himself*
*Right after, Callibro attacked the soldier, who fell on the ground, inert*
Kusanagi: You’re good at fighting!
Callibro: Thanks!
*Yagami gave the signal to the other three*
*Yagami was about to climb the ladder, when a muscular man with short black hair, red eyes, light skin, a checkered black and yellow shirt and orange pants picked up a hammer and hit the handrail of the ladder, breaking it*
Yagami: Damn it!
Marco: You thought you were gonna escape so easily, didn't you? Vihahahaha!
Kusanagi: Damn you!
*Marco started to pick something up from his back, but the quartet didn't have time to react*
*A bunch of soldiers started attacking*
*Kusanagi attacked a soldier quickly*
*Ronnie killed another soldier with a strong attack*
*Yagami killed another soldier with a jink*
*Callibro killed another soldier with a quick attack*
*But none of this mattered. More and more appeared*
*A whistle sound could be heard*
*And when all 4 remembered, this is when they remembered…*
*Trans-Yuhope Express was coming*
Yagami: Damn it!
*Marco picked up a bow and shot at Kusanagi*
Yagami: Kusanagi! Throw the trident!
*Kusanagi threw the trident at Marco*
*Marco picked up the trident with his hand*
Kusanagi: Damn it!
Marco: I won't let you guys fulfill your plan?
Ronnie: How do ya know our plan?
Marco: A spy told me everything!
*The Trans-Yuhope Express was 15 meters away from the quartet*
Yagami: You mean that man I fought didn't die?
Marco: Exactly!
Yagami: Damn it!
Callibro: What do we do? The train is gonna kill us soon!
*Callibro, extremely hurt, defeated another soldier*
*A soldier attacked Kusanagi, who couldn't defend himself and was stabbed in the chest, close to his heart, and fell on the ground*
Callibro: Kusanagi!
*Yagami picked up a sword from one of the soldiers and put it blade-side up, like spikes*
Yagami: We need to calm down!
*The Trans-Yuhope Express was 10 meters away from the quartet*
Yagami: Ronnie! Break the wall!
*Ronnie picked up his axe and started to break part of the wall*
Marco: Useless! Useless! Useless! Useless!
*Marco threw an arrow at Ronnie’s leg, making him fall on the ground*
*A soldier stabbed Callibro’s arm and blood fell*
*Callibro perform a powerful attack at the soldier, and killed him*
*Yagami used the hole that Ronnie dug as a support for him to jump toward Marco*
*The Trans-Yuhope Express was 5 meters away from the quartet*
*A soldier performed a powerful stab right on Kusanagi’s heart*
*Or would have, if Callibro hadn't jumped toward Kusanagi, being stabbed in the process*
Kusanagi: No!
*Yagami picked up his scythe and put it in Marco’s bow and put his left hand on his chest, making him fall on the sword Yagami had put before, and used this as an impilse to jump off the line*
Marco: Damn you!
*Yagami was stabbed while falling, being trapped there, skeletal and almost dying*
*Yagami held the stairs*
Yagami: Come, fast!
*Kusanagi carried Ronnie, who carried Callibro out of the track*
*The Trans-Yuhope Express ran over all of rhe soldiers, killing all of them instantly*
*Not being able to stand it, Callibro fell on the ground, alongside Ronnie*
Yagami: I did it!
Kusanagi: We have no time to celebrate! Callibro is hurt!
Kusanagi: Callibro!
*Callibro did not wake up*
Ronnie: Give him a bottle of whiskey and he’ll be okay!
Kusanagi: Not now, Ronnie!
Kusanagi: We gotta go to a hospital!
Kusanagi: The problem is that you can't get up, Ronnie!
Ronnie: I can get up just fine. I was just restin’.
Kusanagi: Let’s go.
*City hospital*
*Callibro was in a bed, very huet*
*A nurse was there, trying to heal him*
Nurse: Wait… These “9”s. Are you from the SSWA?
Yagami: Sh…
*Yagami put his index finger in front of the nurse’s mouth, and pointed a knife at his neck*
Yagami: If you don't heal him, your head will roll.
Nurse: O-Ok!
*A while later, Callibro woke up*
Callibro: What happened?
Yagami: We completed the mission.
Callibro: That's great to hear!
Kusanagi: Callibro!
Kusanagi: Thank you, bro!
Callibro: I’m here for this!
Callibro: To contribute to a better future!
Callibro: I see so much hatred in the world…
Callibro: I wanna find a way to end this!
Callibro: But for that, I will have to fight for a utopia. A world where there is no war.
Kusanagi: I’m afraid that will not be possible, my friend.
Callibro: Maybe, but I live believing in it and I will die believing in it!
Ronnie: I agree!
Ronnie: I saw the kingdom of Schünn begin, and I want to bring back the peace that it brought!
*Time passed, and Callibro became an official member of the Knights of Schünn, who went in many missions*
*Kusanagi, Callibro and Ronnie were in a table of the cave drinking*
Ronnie: Never have I beaten up a guy that was being an asshole with me!
*Ronnie drank whiskey*
Kusanagi: That's not how you play it!
*Kusanagi drank whiskey*
*Callibro did not dink*
Ronnie: What? You never hit-
*Yagami got to the cave*
Ronnie: What is it, boss? Did you come here to play
Yagami: No.
Yagami: I came here to tell you that this is rhe most important mission of all hitherto.
