Kale was returning home after his daily workout when he suddenly received a call from Christopher Gale, the president of the United Guild.

  Gale informed him that a D-Rank team was heading into a D-Rank Gate and needed a C-Rank Combat Slayer to join them.

  Kale accepted the offer and asked when the raid would take place.

  Gale replied, "Tomorrow."

  After returning home, Kale told his sister the news, and she was overjoyed.

  Kale was preparing himself for the raid and thinking about how he would be the most senior among the D-Rank Slayers in the team. This made him feel a bit nervous.

  The next morning, he arrived at the D-Rank Gate, where Christopher Gale greeted him.

  "Ah, Kale! Come on, the team has been waiting for you," Christopher said.

  He then introduced Kale to the rest of the team. However, Kale thought to himself, "There's no need for introductions. Everyone already knows who I am."

  The team consisted of eight Slayers in total, including Kale. All of them were D-Rank, except for Kale himself.
