[Scene 1 – Porella City – Testing Grounds]
The sun rises over Porella City, where banners for the prestigious “Justicup Test” flap in the breeze. Brawlers and citizens gather to watch or participate in the city’s rarest challenge—a written and tactical exam to test the minds of Crystal Brawlers who wish to continue their medal quest.
Kouchu and his friends walk into the main square, where the registration table awaits. The test is conducted by a tall, commanding woman with glasses and a cape—Taylor, the Justicup Examiner and respected intellect of the League.
Taylor (sternly):
“Welcome to the Justicup Test. All participants must pass with a C or higher. If you fail three times… all your medals will be revoked.”
Kouchu (gasping):
“W-What?! But I worked so hard for those medals!”
Taylor:
“This test will determine if your growth as a brawler includes wisdom and responsibility—not just strength. Do you still wish to take it?”
Kouchu clenches his fists, nervous but determined.
Kouchu (firmly):
“Yes! I’ll do it! I want to become a Master Champion, no matter what!”
?
[Scene 2 – Study Time Begins]
Back at the apartment, Kouchu buries himself in a mountain of books. Diagrams of Crystal Monster evolution charts, battle strategies, item effects, and league history are scattered everywhere.
Roaracryst (serious tone):
“Kouchu. No slacking off. This test… it’s important. If you fail, everything we’ve done so far could be lost.”
Kouchu (groaning):
“I didn’t know being a hero involved this much reading…!”
Shauna flips a flashcard from the couch.
Shauna:
The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.
“What’s the elemental weakness of Vaporaquish?”
Kouchu (half-asleep):
“Uh… Spicy food?”
Sakuro (dryly):
“It’s Thunder. You’ll literally fail at this rate.”
Kouchu sighs, slumping over a book, but Roaracryst gently nudges him, eyes glowing with encouragement.
Roaracryst:
“You’ve come this far, Kouchu. You can do this. Just focus.”
?
[Scene 3 – First Attempt: D Grade]
Test day comes. Kouchu steps into the exam hall. Rows of brawlers sit in silence, scribbling away. Kouchu gulps as he opens the paper, sweat beading his forehead.
Cut to the results board after the test:
“Misako, Kouchu – D”
Kouchu (holding the paper):
“A D?! But I studied so hard!”
Taylor (arms crossed):
“You improved, but not enough. Two attempts remaining.”
?
[Scene 4 – Second Attempt: F Grade]
Another montage—Kouchu tries to memorize info while training with Roaracryst at the same time, but collapses in exhaustion. The balance between physical and mental preparation overwhelms him.
Second test ends—Kouchu stares at the board:
“Misako, Kouchu – F”
Kouchu (in horror):
“An F?! No… no, no, no… I only have one more shot…!”
He runs outside, frustrated, tears in his eyes. Roaracryst follows, concerned.
Roaracryst (softly):
“Kouchu… don’t give up.”
Kouchu (sitting on a bench):
“I’ve always been clumsy. Everyone says I’m not smart. What if I just don’t have what it takes?”
Shauna and Sakuro arrive, each carrying books.
Shauna:
“You don’t have to be perfect, Kouchu. Just be you. But give it your all.”
Sakuro:
“We’ll help you study. The smart way this time.”
?
[Scene 5 – Final Attempt: The Breakthrough]
Night falls. A final montage shows Kouchu reviewing notes under the moonlight. Roaracryst quizzes him beside a bonfire. Sakuro drills logic puzzles. Shauna invents a song to help him remember elements. Kouchu grows confident.
Final test day. Kouchu enters the room calm, prepared. He reads the questions carefully, takes deep breaths, and writes with focused determination.
Taylor (reading his test later, eyes widening slightly):
“…Hmm. He’s improved dramatically…”
?
[Scene 6 – The Results and Medal Path]
Crowds gather around the results board. The camera pans slowly… and stops on:
“Misako, Kouchu – C”
Kouchu (shouting):
“I DID IT! I PASSED!!”
Roaracryst tackles him with a hug. Shauna claps, Sakuro gives a rare grin.
Taylor (approaching):
“Congratulations, Kouchu. You’ve earned the right to pursue your fifth medal. And perhaps… you’re smarter than you think.”
Kouchu (grinning):
“Guess even knuckleheads can learn something new!”
?
[Scene 7 – Onward to the Fifth Medal]
With renewed hope and confidence, the Crystal Brawlers march onward through the city gates, heading toward their next destination.
Kouchu (to Roaracryst):
“Let’s go get that fifth medal, buddy. This time… we’re thinking and brawling!”
Roaracryst (determined):
“Let’s do this!”
