  Dustin, who is walking in front of them with a wide grin on his face, turns around with excitement.

  Dustin: with a smirk “Hey, hey! Shari’s lab is a mess! But trust me, I’ve got it covered! You’ll see. I’m going to impress her by cleaning everything up and proving I’m a great house sitter!”

  Sakuro: raising an eyebrow “Isn’t it a little late for that? Don’t you think Shari will notice the mess when she comes back?”

  They finally reach Professor Shari’s laboratory, a large, ramshackle building with pipes hanging loosely and machines whirring in the background. The place looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in years. Dustin opens the door and gestures for everyone to enter.

  Dustin: enthusiastically “Here we are! Welcome to my temporary domain!”

  The lab is chaotic, filled with half-finished projects and clutter everywhere. Cables are trailing on the floor, some spilling out of broken machines. A few large rats scurry across the floor, causing Shauna to jump back in surprise.

  Shauna: shuddering “Ugh! How is anyone supposed to work in this mess?”

  Kouchu: laughing nervously “I’m sure Dustin knows what he’s doing. Right, Dustin?”

  Dustin looks around and nods vigorously.

  Dustin: confidently “Of course! I’ll get it all cleaned up. You’ll see! I’m going to show Shari that I can handle this lab!”

  The brawlers sigh in unison as they realize they’ve got a lot of work ahead of them. The lab is a wreck, and Dustin’s overconfidence only makes the situation more complicated.

  The team begins their work, but as expected, cleaning the lab is far from easy. Dustin, though enthusiastic, proves to be more of a hindrance than a help. He knocks over test tubes, breaks a few pieces of lab equipment, and causes even more chaos with his attempts to tidy up. Meanwhile, the Crystal Monsters, especially Roaracryst and Ninecoat, are helping by trying to organize the scattered parts of the lab, but it’s clear that they’re not used to this kind of work.

  Sakuro: groaning “This is going nowhere. We need a plan.”

  Shauna: sighing “We can’t just leave it like this. We can’t let Dustin fail… but how do we fix this mess?”

  That’s when Kouchu, who’s been thinking for a while, gets an idea.

  Kouchu: brightening up “Wait a minute! Plantmore’s vines! We can use them to fix things up!”

  With Kouchu’s plan in mind, the group gets to work. Plantmore’s vines quickly start to spread across the lab, sticking to the walls and helping to hold up broken equipment. They use the vines to attach cables to the ceiling, and they even manage to make a makeshift drying system using vines to gather and soak up any excess water from a leaky pipe.

  Dustin: impressed, rubbing his chin “Hey, this is actually starting to look like something! Good thinking, Kouchu!”

  Mouselette: nodding “We just need to get rid of the rats, and everything should be set.”

  Mouselette uses her rainbow powers to chase away the rats, while the others continue working together. It’s not perfect, but the lab is looking a lot more presentable. As the brawlers finish up, they’re exhausted but satisfied with their work. They just need to put everything back in place, and the lab looks much more organized.

  As the last piece of the puzzle falls into place, the sound of footsteps echoes through the hallway. Professor Shari walks into the lab, surprised to see everything cleaned up.

  Professor Shari: shocked “Dustin… you actually managed to clean this place up?”

  Dustin stands proudly, puffing out his chest.

  Dustin: grinning “Of course! With a little help from my friends, I managed to get everything back in order!”

  Professor Shari: smiling “I’m impressed, Dustin. And I see you’ve made some improvements with your new friends. This place looks a lot better. Thank you all for your help.”

  The brawlers smile, proud of the work they’ve done, but they know it’s time to leave.

  Kouchu: stretching “We’ve done our part. Now it’s time to head to Dark City!”

  With their work completed, the brawlers wave goodbye to Dustin and Shari, and head out of the lab. As they make their way to the bus station, Kouchu, Shauna, Sakuro, and Mouselette talk excitedly about the next leg of their journey.

  Shauna: smiling “We’ve got a medal waiting for us in Dark City! Let’s make sure we’re ready for anything.”

  Kouchu: grinning “Yeah, we’ve got this. We’ve overcome bigger challenges before!”

  With their spirits lifted, the group boards the bus to Dark City, ready for the next chapter in their journey.
