Chapter 1 – The Sound of Need

  ...

  "...Please..."

A voice cuts through the inside of my head...

  "...Help."

The voice, fragile and distant, reverberates not in my ears, but within the core of my being. It's a sensation I haven't felt since my Mother was taken away.

  Again???

  It's that same voice...

  "...Find... me..."

Ugh... My head! Why is this happening again?

I clutch my head, trying to soothe the pain. But, the voice, it won't stop. It's getting louder. Clearer.

I quickly lean forward on the bed, causing the thick bnket to slide down around my waist, making my onee-chan startle in surprise.

"Horikita? What's wrong? You look pale." Touko asks with concern on her face.

I ignore her question and focus on the voice.

"Where are you?" I ask, hoping the voice can hear me.

"Who are you talking to?" Touko asks me, tilting her head.

  "...Broken..." The voice replies.

"What did you say?" I ask, trying to make out what it said.

"Horikita, you're scaring me. Are you okay?" Touko asks, reaching for my hand.

"Stay quiet Onee-chan!" I say, swatting her hand away.

  "I'm trying to listen!"

  Touko pouts at me.

  "Need... You..."

  I grit my teeth.

"What do you mean?" I ask, desperate for answers.

  "Who are you?"

"Why do you keep calling for me?"

  ...

  The voice fades away.

  "Answer me!"

I scream, but the voice is gone.

  Silence.

"Horikita, what was that all about?" Touko asks.

  "Tsk."

Hearing the noise, Lenah walks into my room.

"What's going on here?" Lenah asks, her eyes narrowed.

"Horikita was acting strange..." Touko says with concern in her voice.

"She was talking to someone, but I couldn't hear anyone else."

Lenah gives Touko a suspicious look.

"Touko, did you provoke her again?"

"Of course not! Onee-chan is innocent!" Touko says, puffing out her chest.

  "Hmph."

  Lenah turns to me.

  "Horikita, what happened?" Lenah asks.

I hesitate, unsure if I should tell them.

I run my left hand through my hair, trying to collect my thoughts.

  Then, I turn to Lenah.

"...For the past three months, I've been hearing a voice."

  Lenah raises an eyebrow.

  "A voice?"

"What kind of voice?" Touko asks, leaning closer towards me on the bed.

  "I... I don't know." I say.

"It sounds like a girl's voice. It started faint, but it's been getting stronger."

"And what is this 'girl' saying?" Lenah asks, her expression serious.

"She keeps saying 'help' and 'find me.'"

"She also said something about being broken."

Lenah is silent for a moment, before crossing her arms.

  "I see..."

"Have you tried locating the source?" Lenah asks.

"I have no idea where she is." I reply.

"The voice just appears and vanishes."

  "I can't pinpoint its location." I say.

"Is it possible that it's a demon?" Touko asks.

  Lenah shakes her head.

  "It's unlikely."

"Demons don't usually ask for help."

I pause, thinking about the voice.

  Mother... Could it be...

"It doesn't feel like a demon," I say.

  "It's... different."

  Touko and Lenah exchange gnces.

  "Different how?" Lenah asks.

"It feels... like... our mother." I say, my voice fractures as I say it.

  Touko gasps.

  "Mother? But..."

"She's gone, right?" Touko says, her voice filled with grief.

"Are you sure, Horikita?" Lenah asks.

  "Yeah,"

  "But, I don't think it's actually her."

  "This is just my assumption."

"I just don't know what else it could be."

  Lenah nods slowly.

  "I see..."

"Well, whatever it is, we need to find out more."

With that, Lenah turns and heads out the door.

"Morning meal is in ten minutes, don't be te." Lenah tells us, walking out.

  Touko grabs both my hands,

  "We'll figure this out,"

  "Together!"

I look at Touko with a bnk expression.

  ...

"Why are you in my bed?" I ask, coldly.

Touko pouts, letting go of my hands.

"I was just worried about you!"

  "And wanting to cuddle!"

  I let out a sigh.

  "I don't need your coddling, Onee-chan."

  "I'm not a child anymore."

  Touko's expression turns sad.

  "I know,"

  "But I'm still your Onee-chan."

"And I'll always be here for you."

  I turn away from Touko.

  "Whatever."

I get out of the bed.

  "You're so cold, Kita."

"Even though you're secretly happy I'm here." Touko says, a smile on her face.

I ignore her, and look at my left hand...

  That voice...

What could it be? I clench my fist.

Without warning??I feel two hands grab my breasts from behind.

"Kyaa! What are you doing, Onee-chan!?"

  Touko giggles.

"Ara ara, Kita, you're so tense!"

"Let Onee-chan relieve some of that stress!"

I try to get her hands off me, but her grip is too strong.

Touko leans in close, her breath hot on my ear.

"Plus, I know you like it~"

  "S-shut up!"

  My face turns red????

I try to push her away, but she's too strong, pulling me closer.

"You're so cute when you're flustered, Kita."

"Let's have some fun, okay?" Touko says, her voice dripping with seduction.

  "N-no! Stop it!"

I struggle, but Touko's grip only tightens. Her hands begin to grope my breasts through my kimono, caressing and squeezing them.

  "Ah... Nnngh..."

  "S-stop it! Onee-chan!"

I try to push her away.

  "Hehe..."

"Don't worry, onee-chan knows what you like."

She continues to fondle my breasts, her fingers expertly teasing my inverted nipples.

  "Ngh... S-stop..."

I try to resist, but her touch is too much. A small moan escapes my lips.

Onee-chan's strength is unfair... despite how… frivolous she may seem.

Her abilities are not to be taken lightly.

  ...

M-My breasts are being squeezed... my inverted nipples... My body is... heating up...

  Concentrate??Don't give in to her...

  ...

  "Nnngh... O-onee-chan..."

  That's the wrong reaction.

  ...

I need to get her off me??

I focus my demonic energy flowing through my veins,

And shove Onee-chan off me with a burst of power.

  "Woah!"

Touko stumbles backwards, falling on the bed.

"Mou, Kita, that's not very nice!"

I gre at her, breathing heavily.

  "Don't touch me without permission."

  "It's annoying." I tell her.
