Just a few hours later, when the research was completed quickly, Lumen gave an order workshop to manufacture the first MK.1 Power Armor. At the same time, she slowly began to understand the time and turn ratio.
In Just Out of The Reach, assigned research at the first tier usually completes instantly with the assistance of Sylvesris as it shows '0 turns' on information hud. But now, it took a few hours to complete. Usually, the enemy wave appears immediately within the same turn, where he can complete every research that requires 0 turns. There is quite a difference between a real-time and a single turn time.
With a clock of wave arrival ticking down each second, Lumen quickly progresses to the following research.
A few minutes later, Lumen noticed that construction drones had finished constructing wind turbines and waiting for the next instruction. Seeing inactive drones just standing in place like a statue again.
"Haah, it going to take a long."
She remembered those drones possessed previous functions and couldn't receive command more than one, which made the worst construction unit of all factions at the beginning. At least for now, she only needs them to build wind turbines as her only resource generator that doesn't require anything except a battery to store its energy.
With a complete que, Lumen stepped down from the throne that connected her to the main base.
With still various connectors and wires attached to her back throughout her unique inner armor, Lumen went toward one of the base's workshops dedicated to manufacturing equipment.
Inside the workshop, Lumen saw another large room similar to a change room one sees in malls. The Interior of the room was filled with various robotic arms equipped with multiple tools, ready to process at the moment of notice.
"Begin the process." She spoke while raising her arm.

Following her command, the robot's arms start to move as it begins to graft various pieces of armor directly to her thin inner armor. Starting from both of her arms and legs covered by heavy armor with no lock or mechanism, followed by her torso and head.
This was a way of 'equipping' the MK.1 power armor.By literally crafting armor on her body.
While the armor itself works by using her own circulatory and nerve system as the primary conductor and her skeleton as structural support.
It's evident that people who can only make functional exo-suit at the last moment didn't have time to build power armor at the first turn. And the act of unequipping the armor will lead to the destruction of armor as the only way to get out of this armor is to rip it open armor by force as it's literally welded shut.
At last, with her specification, another piece of equipment was added to her back.
A small panel with three sockets forming a triangle shape was installed around her upper chest, alongside a sizeable handheld cannon directly connected to her back with a thick cable.
Followed by mechanical noise, the machine finished its operation by ensconcing three chaos batteries into the sockets.
Walking out of the fitting room, Lumen checked her appearance using the camera. Through the lens, she saw a large figure clad in thick full armor with a black shine. With its large weapon slung over on a holster placed on her back, along with blazing red eyes and large antlers protruding out from her helmet, the addition of connection wires and tubes still connected her back. She looked nothing like the protector of terra but more like flesh eating monster who lurks in the forest.
"Well, beggars aren't choosers," Lumen said in resignation, knowing the look of this armor won't get any better in the future.
But in some way, he liked that way as someone who was always weirded out by seeing armor that looked more like fetish wear rather than armor, be it a fantasy or not.
Lumen walked out from the workshop to the armory. Within the armory, she reached out for the newly finished long sword from neatly arranged melee weapons for the test.
Holding the longsword, she tried to swing!-whereupon she realized that the sword in her hand had gone missing.
"As expected."
She thought maybe being in the real world would help, but it seems became even worse.
With a metallic sound, the longsword hit the floor away from her. Reaching towards the longsword on the floor, Lumen tried to swing again. This time she saw the longsword slipping out from her hand as if it was covered in invisible oil.
Then Lumen tried to hold the scepter, but just like a longsword, it slipped out of her hand. She could almost hear a familiar comical, cartoonish sound effect she used to hear as a child at that moment.
A little bit disappointed, Lumen grabbed a spear and knife that she was familiar with it, then armed herself with a 12mm machine gun and pistol.
Despite having no knowledge of using any firearm, she took a magazine and reloaded the gun. Then she took aim and hit the training target in one smooth motion with perfect posture. It felt natural as it was breathing.
Lumen didn't need any technical knowledge or study. She just knows how to use and operate those weapons at an instinctual level, and that is good. A few seconds later, she saw a countdown of the next wave clock reaching 0.
Following the alarm, Lumen received news from the base showing energy disruption on a specific square of the 3d map.
