Hey all! Just a quick update on the status of the rewrite of Heller and Book 3, since I am putting it on a 'new' page so that I don't spam all of you each time I post a rewritten chapter (and so that I can access this 'book' as a handy reference).

  This is a fairly complete rewrite, and even though the 'skeleton' of the story is the same, there are a truly lot of little changes that add up quickly. Here is a short list so readers have a rough idea of what to expect:

  1) The story has been largely changed to something along the lines of 'first-person past tense', except for a few rare places where 'artistic license' is being invoked to play around with words a bit.

  2) More details are being given regarding the world using a 'show, don't tell' style, and advice from comments and reviews has been taken and integrated.

  Stolen novel; please report.

  3) Heller is a bit younger during the plane crash, has no immediate family, and is an Engineer.

  4) Heller is a bit older once Academy starts, so his age no longer constantly conflicts with that of his peers (a plot device I grew tired of VERY quickly)

  5) Chapter length is a lot longer than it was (averaging 1750 words or so now, I think).

  6) The mechanics behind the cultivation system of the world has been altered

  7) No more tables, at all, ever again. ;)

  Note: I am really really busy with life right now (and have been for a while), therefore, as a general rule, I will never reply to messages or comments here on RR, but I will try to take time to read them and a lively comment section is always fun. :)

  Status of Book 3:

  The plan is to begin posting shortly after the rewrite is completed! I will post occasional updates here for anyone who is interested.

  The new home of Heller is still here on Royal Road, and I will post a link plus the URL down below for anyone who wants it.
