Long ago a half primordial son of Chronus was fighting with his life on the line against some other half primordials sent by his aunt Gaia when he finally slipped up for fighting for too long and payed the price for it. His father, enraged that his only son was on the verge of death did the only thing he could without angering Khaos by breaking the ancient laws and petrified him.

  He dropped his sons statue on a remote place where nobody would look and used his power to make it so nobody under the level of primordial would be able to break the statue. Time passed years turned into decades and decades into eons when a centaur decided to build a camp to train the next generation of heroes. And so camp was formed around his statue which in return provided some slight protection.
